I have a 10 yr old daughter who has been a competative dancer for several years. I bought the 1 pound box over a year ago. At competition(s) she has to have her hair in a performance bun from 3 to 5 days in a row; every morning we are up early to prepare and put hair up. These are AMAZING!! So much better than bobby pins. Not only is her hair easy to put up, we get it up-start to finish-in under 10 minutes, but her hair stays up! She needs minimal touchups and only 1 hair elastic is needed! Its her hair in an elastic, bun form, pin the hair in place, hairnet pinned in place.....and it lasts all day long....through hours/days of dance and multiple costume changes! These are the best pins! Good, heavier weight metal....just a fantasic product!! I cannot say enough good things about these pins!!

Hurray! These are fantastic. I have very fine, straight long hair and I like to put it up in a twisty bun on top of my head to keep it out of the way when I sleep. These keep my bun in place all night, and my bun stays tight and doesn’t develope a wiggle by morning. I think because these are somewhat flexible, it is easy to put a whole bunch in one spot without pulling little hairs. And the ball point ends do not pull hair going in or pulling out, and don’t scrape my scalp. Im super happy with these and you get a LOT of them in one box so I’ll be using these for decades.

I have very long, very thick hair and have to wear it up for work. I've bought hair pins before (other brands) and was disappointed with how flimsy they were, so I was kinda skeptical about these, but figured the amount for the price would be worth it even if they were bendy and frail... ...which they aren't. In fact, these. Are. Awesome. These hair pins are super sturdy and seem like they'll hold up to many, many uses. They're brawny enough that I can use half the number I usually do to accomplsih the same styles, which equals less of a literal headache for me by the end of they day and less time spent pulling things out of my hair. On a side note: The box was a little beat up when I opened the outer package, but none of the pins were damaged and I can throw them in a different container and it won't matter. This is mostly just an FYI for anyone who is an enthusiastic package-opener. I HIGHLY recommend these pins to anyone with long and/or thick hair who needs to keep it up and who doesn't want to use eighty million flimsy, bendy, crappy pins to do it.

I am a professional hairdresser, and my supply stores have been short on some essentials. I decided to try these hairpins. They are thicker, and heavier than what I usually use. Hairpins should barely be felt in the hair. They did the job, they were the correct color that I needed... just too thick and heavy for a delicate updo.

I use these to make buns in my daughters' hair. The older girl has long, thick hair; the younger one has shorter, thinner hair, but the pins work equally well for both. The pins are fairly heavy gauge, so they do not bend or break. They stay in the girls' hair all day. These are much better (and a much better value) than any pins I have been able to find in local stores.

We have been buying these for years and they are completely different. Raw ends and flimsy. Very disappointed.

Quality hairpins are hard to find in stores anymore. These are used for my granddaughter who dances and needs her hair up for class and competitions. She has medium thick, long hair and these pins hold nicely. They are quite strong (thicker than any I've purchased in a store). My daughters danced for years and I never found any like these. They're still flexible enough if need be and will likely last her whole dancing career. The box is small but there are a lot of pins in there. There's plenty to keep at her house, my house and her dance bag. This is a terrific find. The bronze color blends beautifully with her brown hair.
