It's hard to believe this is 85% cocoa, it has a lovely sweetness that cuts through the bitterness of high cocoa % chocolate. I thought there was a bunch of added sugar, but Islands have answered that it's 15.1g sugar / 100g which compared to Green and Black's 85% (14g / 100g) isn't a big differenceThis is a staple when I want a quick sweet fix and it goes on EVERYTHING, from my morning muesli and yoghurt, to smoothies and bakes.Islands, I'm happy to pay you to construct a pipeline from your roastery to my kitchen with a daily flow of these chocolate buttons

Such delicious chocolate! You can really tell this is a single estate chocolate. It has such a clear, fruity flavour. Its flavour profile is simply stunning. Top level mouthfeel too. Smoothness to rival the best brands. An ethical chocolate couverture with a reasonable price tag. Perfect.

This is seriously moreish chocolate so much so that I can't believe it's 85%, sadly no one will answer my question of what are the ingredients? Thus I must assume its circa 60% plus a load of sugar, that said it is still delicious with perfect sized buttons for either eating straight or using in cooking.

I loved everything about this chocolate. From the smooth texture, deep flavour and super cool packaging. The buttons are perfect for snacking on but I’ve also used them in making cookies and brownies. Overall, these buttons are epic, and although the bag is £20 it is a whole KG - you get a LOT of really good quality chocolate for your money. I can’t wait to try the rest of the range. Most importantly I feel proud to support small businesses such as Islands and to be able to enjoy what I believe, is the best chocolate on the market.

A beautifully balanced chocolate, dark and rich but not overpowering or bitter at all. Baked perfectly in some brownies at home during lockdown and have since taken it in to the restaurant I work at and trialed it in making a range of petit fours, a mousse and a fondant. All worked very well.

I ordered these buttons to use in various keto recipes, including peanut butter/chocolate chip bars made with almond flour and coconut flour. They work perfectly - making the bars taste chocolatey and tasty without being too sweet. Love the re-sealable packaging too!

I have diabetes and eat a lot of dark chocolate (85%+ generally) as my favourite treat. I did not cook with this chocolate; I simply ate it. It is a really good variety. Strong recommendation. I have not re-ordered; but only because I ate the bag so quickly.

Exactly what you’d expect for high cocoa. I bought these for my Mum and she says they’re perfectly edible without cooking. Not the best she’s ever had but by no means the worst!
