Easy to install and it works perfeclty!
This units are perfect for my solar system. I'm running a 400W solar system and it works perfectly. I got 2 units, one for checking how many watts are coming in and the other to check my battery input and output. My only advise to you is to add the battery backup option, which is not cable include with it. It only works from 8v-60v, on the 3 pins on the side of the unit. I use two 11650 batteries and for connecting the battery use first cable as a ground and the second as positive from top to bottom, the white cable is not connected to anything, don't use the third pin, not sure what it but it didn't work for me.

Works as needed, several design issues keep it from being 5/5
What I like - easy to read the display and provides all the measurements I need/want. Value is great for what I needed and I would purchase this again for this reason. It is a very simple unit. What I don't like - the leads are super short. After you strip the insulation, you essentially get one shot and connecting this to your circuit before you run out of wire. Also, because the leads are so short, connecting this to my charge controller was so awkward, I felt I was doing heart surgery. Just add 6"-10" of wire to the leads and problem solved! The other thing I would have liked to see is a "reset" or "on/off" switch so I can zero out the "history" readings like amp-hours, watt-hours, etc. The only way to reset these is to disconnect/reconnect one of the leads, and see above for the awkwardness of doing that given the short leads. Regardless, this unit provides me with the measurements I need at an affordable price. Just a couple of design/build improvements and I would have given 5/5.

Works very nice
This watt meter works great with my solar charger for my ebike battery. I placed it after my MPPT boost charger and before the battery. Gives me everything I need to know

Excellent watt meter - easy to use
I added a set of powerpole connectors to both ends of this meter and it is super-easy to insert it into a circuit to see the power consumption of my radios and other devices in the circuit. The display is easy to read and the display shows current (Amps), supply voltage (Volts), and power (Watts). The 4th data spot in the display cycles through Amp-hours (Ah) since meter startup, Watt-hours (Wh) since meter startup, peak amps (Ap) since meter startup, minimum voltage (Vm) since meter startup, and peak watts (Wp) since meter startup. All in all, this is a great meter and it has already been very handy and helpful for me in my home workshop. Great value for its price. This is a keeper. Recommended!

Darn thing works
I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and it was DOA. Sent it back and Amazon gave me a refund. It would not light up or even give the source voltage. I bought the exact same meter and it works perfectly. Voltage is exactly what my voltmeter reads and depending on what power level I need it reads the wattage perfectly. There is always the possibility of getting a dud in anything. Glad I gave this device a second chance.

Works, but wish display was brighter
1) Works fine and seems accurate, voltage and power (= voltage*current) independently checked and it agrees to < 1%. 2) Display brightness is a bit of a sore point for me, but it’s still usable. I’m using it on a e-bike, and in sunshine or even relatively bright shade, I can’t see the display while riding; is ok in heavier shade or heavy cloud weather, and that’s tolerable for me. 3) This things lists itself as 150A capable, and as others point out, that’s ridiculous considering the wiring is #12 (20A usual rating) or maybe #10 (30A). However, for my usage case of 15A max, it’s fine. 4) power draw of this thing by itself: at 53V, I measured 37 mA, thats about 2 watts, snd implied R of ~1400 Ohms. Don’t know how current draw scales with voltage. To be clear, i’m using the input power itself to power this meter, not an external battery connected to the 3 pins on side. Note that the total energy used display resets to zero when the input voltage/power is removed, but that’s fine in my usage case.

I Own Two
I bought this one to monitor my trolling motor batteries. They're invaluable for estimating run time and avoiding over-discharge. They draw no discernable power and are super easy to read. The only thing I don't like is the 12-gauge leads. The wire typically used for a circuit of this amp range is going to be larger. However, the distance the meter occupies won't restrict current flow, but makes wiring it inline a little trickier. This meter is worth every penny and then some.

Odd things about it.
This is the 300A I am reviewing. The package was crushed the amperage on the docs say 200 and someone overwrote the 2 with a 3 with a sharpie making it 300 (see photo). Needless to say I’m a little worried about using it. The lens is really scratched makes me think it was used. But the ends don’t appear to have ever been soldered to anything so idk for sure. I have one of these also a 200 amp came from here and it looks really good along with a plastic peel back film over the lens and it’s not scratched this one did not have it. It may work but I’ll just stick to the 200 amp for now.
