This housing is absolutely beautiful! It is glossy and smooth as silk to touch. The color is so rich and vibrant, and the shimmery chameleon purple/blue combination is magical! It fit my controller perfectly and was a breeze to install. I also bought the matching front shell from this seller. Both are good quality for the price, affordable, and look stunning together! The only downside is, of course, the glossiness making the controller slick during extended play times, but I knew that before I ordered. I'm a super satisfied customer! Thank you!

Works great! Love how my controller looks now. The texture is a smooth and soft silicone which feels really nice to the touch. The hardest part of modifying the controller was just opening up the outer shells/case initially. The white case is starting to get a littttle yellow at the bottom with use, so be aware of that. Overall, totally worth it.

I bought this custom PS4 controller shell for my best friend for his birthday and the color shift option is SOO nice in person! I purchased the bottom piece of the controller to test it out and see how hard installing it would be before purchasing more pieces. To my surprise the installation for the bottom piece only is the easiest one. I later bought the top shell piece and buttons, and those in my opinion require a bit more skill to successfully install. So if you are looking to customize your controller but don’t want to hassle with taking the entire controller apart, I would recommend only getting the bottom shell piece. ALSO. These pieces will not work with unbranded controllers. If you try to put them on a non branded or non authentic sony controller the pieces will not line up correctly and you will be left with awkward gaps in the shell casing.

Be ready to put on your fine motor skills and intuitive thinking cap. This took a while to install and the piece where the charging port is had to be altered and glued back together. I wouldn't get this again unless I knew all parts were compatible even though this was marked as it was supposed to be for the controller we had. Very sleek and very nice material.

Well, these shells are quality…I ordered the wrong shell, be aware of your controller internals model number…super satisfied.

So, the only issue I have with it, and it’s not even a huge issue to me since I don’t use it anymore, but just so anyone who does uses one, you can NOT put a Strike Pack on this backing! I tried to put mine on last to see if it needed updates, and since the back molding is slightly different, the Strike Pack doesn’t fit to the body of the controller, and the clip that goes around to the PlayStation button doesn’t fit either since it can’t fit the shape of the controller.

Seems to be quite symmetrical and well molded. I've bough from this company before and I think they make decent stuff but I was a little disappointed. The plastic just doesn't feel as high quality as a real shell. I understand that it is meant to be matte and soft but it just feels a little brittle and meh quality. Sort of like a really really dense Styrofoam kind of feeling. It could just be a preference thing. If there were a higher quality plastic, I'd pay more for it.

Installation was a bit harder for me than in the tutorials. I have the exact same model number but it’s a newer volume. But if I can do it, you can too! I included a picture of the back shell and how it looks up front. The shell has a sandy texture which adds a bit more grip and has a cute color 👍🏻

***Before reading further, please note this shell is for a V2 controller, my controller matches this shell model and requirements as per the amazon listing. *** This product is a joke. The shell is so badly cut that I could not apply this back shell to an OEM front shell or an extremetate branded front shell (made for use with this product). It would not close/seal shut with the front shell properly. The feel of this shell was also questionable. It's advertised as a "soft finish", realistically, it's just a cheap matte finish. You can tell just by looking at it that this thing is going to look like garbage from the back after use. The matte finish also did not have any grip. I could not even test this product in use, because I couldn't install it without fears of breaking my OEM/newly purchased extremerate shells or my controller motherboard during installation. For the price I paid? I paid 40 ish dollars for a front/back shell, when for 35 extra dollars I could have purchased a new controller. How does that make sense for a product with quality no better than the cheap china-made shells on eBay? Want to charge for a premium price, you'd better make sure the product is a premium one. Unacceptable.

Definitely not a 100% perfect fit like some people claim, but more than good enough. No major panel gaps or anything you'll catch on but you can feel the slight panel alignment differences. I couldn't tell from photos, but these have smooth finish, not the slight texturing on the OEM piece. I didn't want to the aggressive texturing of the other versions of this shell, so I'll have to settle. If you want grip, this is not for you.

No good, everything seemed good until I went to put it back together and it had a huge gap. Looks and feels nice but doesn't fit the controller good.
