Talens Art Creation Sketchbook Black 12X12 cm, 140 Grams

This is a lovely little sketchbook that is easily carried with you at all times for spontaneously sketching when something catches your attention. The paper is creamy and durable, able to accept ink and watercolor without wrinkling or bleeding--although alcohol marker will bleed to the other side--and the covers are hardboard, covered with a faux leather. It feels good in your hands, which is a big plus, as it encourages you to want to draw more. The paper is sewn in such a way as to mnimize the center crease, so you can draw on both left and right sides. I bought three, and designated them People, Places, and Things.

No bleed through and holds layers of acrylic paint marker very well. Opaque, off-white sturdy paper. Great for making sketbook spreads. Will be using this as my paint marker sketchbook :)

Great sketch book. Good quality paper. Worked well with wet and dry mediums. I am able to use both sides of the paper more than 95% of the time. I highly recommend this.

I love the size on this sketch book but would have liked te paper stock to have more of bleed proof

The sketchbook is a square, 4/34" inches on all sides. It's comfortable in the hand, with nice quality binding, and easy to carry. The substantial, but not heavy, paper tolerates watercolor, at least a light wash, and possibly heavier work, but you will see some puckering on the reverse side of the page, but no bleeding through.

Talens Art Creation sketchbooks are great and affordable. Paper quality is good. It takes maker, colored pencil well. I also have done collage beside drawing. I love this small square size to bring with me to sketch whenever I am out and have to wait. Itis a great excuse to draw people I see when I have to wait. Like the doctor office or bank. I have a 21x29,7 cm, and just order the size 13 cm x 21 cm to try as well to do landscape when I travel.

I have many of these sketchbooks in several sizes. I carry at least one with me at all times. I have used them with a variety of different mediums including graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, gouache, and watercolor. All these mediums worked great. I am conservative with water for the watercolor so I have not had any trouble with the paper buckling. I like the cream color of the paper and like the fact that the first page and the cover lining are the same size I can use them to start my book with a spread on both pages.

Love it so portable and it doesn’t bleed through acrylic paint markers though with those markers it doesn’t start to rip the paper it’s pretty durable and I love the look of it.

Durch die quadratische Form und die Größe ist es perfekt für Zentangles geeignet. Die Seiten sind dick genug, dass der Fineliner auf der Rückseite nicht zu sehen ist. Da es so schön klein ist, kann man es super überall hin mitnehmen. Ich liebe es!
