BELEY 15mm & 22mm Olive Puller, Removal Tool Solid Brass Copper Pipes Fitting

I sent this item back as it wasn’t fit for purpose. I only wanted to remove a 15mm olive ring, but found that the plunger end was too large when trying to push into a pipe end that had been previously cut with a pipe cutter. I’ve found in the past the same thing has happened when trying to push a pipe bending spring into a cut copper pipe. When cut, the pipe end has a tendency to curl in, narrowing the end. Hence, this tool won’t fit a cut end. I then tried removing an olive ring off a scrap piece of pipe with a perfect 15mm end using some force and the tool fitted. However, once the threads were connected, I couldn’t twist the horizontal bar with my hand any more and found the top nut was just over-riding the olive ring. In the end I resorted to using the old fashioned method of a hacksaw and a screwdriver to split the ring.

Great wee bit of kit. It made the job easy to do.

Had difficulty getting it to fit on the old copper pipe as ittts the same diameter, managed but very tight needs to be a couple off mm smaller
