This is wonderful for more than just painting. I gave 3 stars for adhesion only for the purpose of what I used it for. I'm sure it works well on walls and deserves 5 stars. A family member had bed bugs so I used this. How you may ask? I got a cheap fitted sheet put it on their bed and made sure the plastic was at least 4 inches below the box springs and at least 2 inches above the floor and duct taped the painter plastic around the perimeter of the sheet overlapping the ends just a little, leaving no gaps or hole for the bugs to get through the duct tape and I used boxing tape to close the 2 ends together. I also had them sleep with covers that did not extend over the edge of the mattress. Bed bugs can't climb on plastic so if they cant get to you while your sleeping they can't feed, therefore, they DIE. I also put clear boxing tape around the perimeter of their room so the bugs couldn't climb up to the ceiling and drop down onto their bed. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. No more bites and the bugs were gone within a month.

Quick and easy to apply--I was able to prep a 13 x 18 room on all four walls in under 10 minutes without help! The plastic is lightweight and does cling with static, so not heavy duty. For our painting/wallpapering project, that was sufficient to quickly protect surfaces from drips. I also used a length stuck on the wall just over an array of framed photos, so no need to remove them from the wall when working above them. Didn't need the dispenser for this 2' length, not sure if it would be necessary with a taller roll. Easy on, holds well, easy off.

Seems like it would be simple to use. Sometimes I would think I had a good start on it and then the tape would become detached and fall off. Only used for one project so far. I am going to try again soon when I am not hurried.

This tape and plastic works very nice if your just wanting to paint the ceiling. It protected the walls, from paint drops and the accidental roller hitting the wall. One very minor small complaint is that the plastic does not rip very easily. When pulling the tape off it left a nice edge. I will be buying more of this product. I use to free hand the cutting in process, but I always had to have a wet towel to wipe my mistakes up.

Very useful time saver. Holds well, but do not push too much to a painted surface, as it still can peel off some paint. The tape is not waterproof, and is not intended, that's Ok. Thanks.

Great product and easy to use. A real time saver. I'd recommend this product for anyone painting a room with woodwork to be protected or painted separately from the wall color

The product works as advertised, however the cutting teeth on the package doesn't do a good job of cutting the plastic (you need a scissors or something else) and the plastic sheeting is so light, and picks up a static electricity charge so easily, that the plastic often gets stuck to the tape itself before it can be unfolded. Once the tape and plastic gets fouled, there is a lot of waste, so I found myself cussing the design deficiencies of the roll dispenser. This product is okay for occasional use by a homeowner, but a painter/tradesman would be looking for something else.

My local Home Depot stopped carrying this product so I was happy to see that I was able to get it from Amazon. I used it to mask vertical walls at the ceiling so I could spray touch up texture on the ceiling. Works beautifully and the plastic has a static cling to the walls so it didn't move with the "breeze" from the aerosol can.

Easy to use (apply and remove)

Used it in combination with a big dust sheet to paint my room. It stuck well and gave some nice clear lines when I peeled them off. The plastic sheet is very thin and doe tear easily when you put something on it, like a chair to reach the ceiling, but thats to be expected so I didn't take anything off for that

I use this to mask the windows and body on the car before treating the canvas roof. It does everything that I needed it to do.

I love this product it a time saver and the tape stick very well and with a 3M products you can't go wrong.
