The Cutest Little Kitchen!
I looked at all the kitchens on Amazon, Target, and Ikea but I kept coming back to this one because I love the quality of all of the other Hape toys we have. This kitchen is super small as you can see in my photos but I don’t regret the $100 purchase at all, even if I have to buy a bigger one down the road. It was really simple to put together and I like knowing there aren’t toxic chemicals and no cheap plastic.3 month update: BEST toy ever. Now that my son is 13 months, this is the only toy that he plays with multiple times a day and it actually keeps him busy and gives us a little break. He doesn’t understand the concept of a kitchen yet so mostly it’s him taking things out of the bottom cabinets and throwing them in the removable sink hole but we have the Hape standing tool station as well and still, he always chooses the kitchen. We’ve had other babies over including a three year old who went straight for the kitchen. Accessories like food, plates, and the toaster are a must for keeping baby entertained longer. Yes I’m sure my baby would love any kitchen but aesthetically, I am so glad I chose this one.2 years update: My son is now two and a half and still plays with this multiple times a day. Still our most essential toy purchase yet!

Absolute Best Kitchen Set
This is the absolute best kitchen set on the market!!! I am a stay-at-home-mom with a 3 year-old daughter and 1 year-old son. We are in the playroom around 2-3 hours a day. We’ve had this kitchen set for one year. This is the one toy that experiences daily use. My son crawls straight to it most days!! Not only do the kids love it, but me and my husband do as well! We appreciate the quality of material used and neutral color palette. The tried and true durability of the magnetic closures, door hinges, and knobs. The practical size and design of the interior allows our children to store toys and use it with ease. You cannot go wrong with the Hape Kitchen Set!

Small but has given the kids a lot of fun times
I got this for Christmas last year for my then 3 year old, and a year later he is still playing with it, now along with his 18m old sister. Play food seems to be the one thing they're able to play nicely together with.- It is SMALL as others have said, but I have enough kid stuff taking up space I didn't want a huge kitchen set. They have big ones at daycare they can play with.- I had no off gassing/smell issues.- My husband put it together on Christmas Eve, probably in under an hour.- It's held up well for the last 14 months since we got it and the kids slam on it pretty well- It's very cute and well made!- I found some storage bins at Target that fit into the shelves to put the play food in so they can be stored when not playing.A friend of mine got the IKEA play kitchen for her kid, and after seeing that in person I think I might have preferred that instead of this, because it's also small but a bit taller/bigger (without being huge like the plastic ones) and lights up and seems to have more to do on it. So look into that one if you're debating what to get, as that's the only one that I've seen amongst play dates that given me a twinge of buyers remorse. But I still give this 5 stars because it's worked out so well for us and I think even once my son loses interest, my daughter will have many years of playing with it to go.

Great little kitchen set
This is the perfect kitchen set if you are looking for something that doesn’t take up a lot of room. My son is almost a year and a half old and this is the perfect size for him. I wanted a wooden set and was planning on getting the one from IKEA when I saw this one on Facebook. It was a great price and I like Hape products. Add in free two day shipping with Prime and I was sold.I was concerned because some of the reviews said it was cheaply made but I don’t agree. The paint was not chipping and the pieces were sturdy. It was simple to assemble. The whole thing feels very durable, which is important when you have a tornado of a toddler. We already had the Melissa and Doug stainless pots and pans and they fit in the shelves and on the stove top. The M&D wooden food set fits perfectly in the cabinets. My son played with it for an hour after we put it together. I definitely recommend it.

Love. Love
Love. Love. Love. Seriously, look no more. I spent countless hours researching, comparing, reviewing all of the "toddler" kitchens that are listed on Amazon. I decided to go for the less bells and whistles kitchen thiking it would allow my kid to pretend more and rely on someone else's imagination less.It is the perfect size for my two-year old and the older 5 year old cousin played with it as well. The older sibling of the 5 year old said, "Wow, that one is better than the one you have!" She has a the Melissa and Doug Retro kitchen. Just saying...kids don't lie. Also, the Melissa and Doug pots and pans are a perfect fit (still a great brand!) as well as the Learning Resources baskets of food. My kid keeps all of the pots, pans, plates, trays, cups, utensils, shopping basket (learning resources) in the kitchen and uses a separate basket to hold all of her play food. I am sure you could put both in the kitchen but Santa went a little over board this year...speaking of Santa we hear that he said that the elves had no trouble assembling the kitchen. Easy peasy in about 15-20 minutes!

Great quality and features, smaller size, attractive.
Very good quality. Took a reasonable amount of time to assemble (about 45 minutes by a grandma who has wood working experience), but not difficult as long as you study each piece before assembling. Perfect size and very attractive for the small home where it is sitting in the corner of a family room shared by adults and nice furniture. Little 3 year old granddaughter loves it. Even though it is small, it has believable and numerous features to provide a fun play experience. As she gets bigger in a couple years I'm guessing that it could be mounted on a small wooden platform to bring it up more to her height. I measured the inside of the right door and found 2 small plastic baskets to fit inside to keep little pans etc. corralled.
