My kids love this set and will happily play trains for an hour or more - the trucks, the rocks, the railway crossing gate and the crane are all star features for my lot. They were happy to play with it on its own, and of course it works well with any other Brio sets. The track design featured on the box is a good size for two kids to play together, and there are enough vehicles included to share.

I can't say enough about the Brio brand, this set is awesome, my 3 year old grandson did not stop playing with it over the Christmas holidays, I helped him set up the track like it shows on the box (instructions on different style setups would have been good to have) but then again the 3 year old proceeded to make his own track setup.

Wow! This is a super fun railway set! We bought it for our grandson, who will be visiting soon, but I am sure he will love manipulating the crane and dump trucks. As usual for Brio, everything went together well and worked well. You do have to hold the crane car a bit when lifting the loads, as it wants to tip off the overpass, but this easy to do, since you must hold the car while turning the crank to lift the crane's boom. We were able to use the Brio Expansion Set, Intermediate to create an outside loop around most of the loading set. The expansion set is relatively in expensive, so it makes a nice accompaniment for this one.

For something this expensive, it should at least come with clear instructions on how to put the train together. As a mom, it’s incredibly frustrating when all I want is to give my son his new toy, and instead we’re both stressed because I can’t figure out the setup. I tried following the pictures, but they’re no help at all. The tracks don’t stay connected, the magnets on the train are too weak to keep the pieces together, and the whole thing feels like a complete waste of money. Honestly, save yourself the frustration and get a Thomas the Train set for half the price — this was nothing but overpriced junk.

Brio is hands down the best

Macht viel Freude und kam super an. Sehr stabil und leicht zu bespielen. Dazu auch sehr robust!

A bit complicated for my 3yr old but once we've set it up he loves it, until he knocks the track off the rocks and we have to put it back together again.
