This thing is great!
Wow, this thing is phenomenal! MIDI, USB, and more all function flawlessly. The first unit I received was defective, but was promptly replaced with a unit that is good. There's no lag between devices with the puc+. And it will power your devices via USB. Has allowed my pedal controller rig to go completely wireless. Why are you still reading this? Go buy it!

The people at Zivix are trustworthy, honest and reliable.
The people at Zivix are the best. They are trustworthy, honest and reliable. I ordered a puc+ because of the Bluetooth midi feature. I was so excited to get but my model had an power/connection firmware issue. So I contacted their tech support and they quickly got back to me. It took a couple pleasant emails back and forth to resolve the issue but to say the least they are top notch. I received a replacement puc+ and it's working beautifully. The latency is so minimal you don't notice any delay when playing your midi controller. This product is awesome. I give it five stars because of the company's tech support and the product really works.

ONE WAY MIDI at a time, no handshake!!!
I'm rating it as "okay" for the time being, I have queries out to support for this and an app called "Remote" used to add a 2nd display to the Korg Kronos keyboard synth, and the "problem" is the app won't sync up with the Puc+. I'm told by Zivix support that this device doesn't support 2-way MIDI or a "handshake" required by the app. THAT is a HUGE drawback, while I found it does send MIDI data both ways, it just can't do a handshake. Very odd, and perhaps something that can be fixed with an update, but at this point for my purpose, it simply doesn't work. You CAN drive sound apps with it, a one-way MIDI communication, so if that's all you need it for, it works, but unless you're going to drive a number of things from your 5-pin MIDI ports, one of those devices that plug in is a cheaper, better option requiring no batteries. I'm getting the Yamaha MD-BT01 to see if it will work through a MIDI patch bay, otherwise it clogs my Kronos MIDI i/o, so the USB device like the Puc+ would be preferred, but if it doesn't work... I'll wait until the last minute to return it, waiting on support to see if they solve this problem on one-way MIDI data flow. Fingers crossed. Update, after contacting the developers of the Puc+ and the Kronos Remote app, we determined the device simply won't do what's require to function properly. So, I'm returning it. Without that MIDI "handshake" it simply won't work. I hope they fix this in the future, and when they do, I'll probably buy it again, but for now, it's basically useless to me, so back it goes...

Great Bluetooth MIDI interface!!!
I love this unit and it works flawlessly. I run this from a small midi keyboard and stream the blue tooth to my iphone where I have soft synths. From there I run the iPhone out into a DI box and run that to the PA. A very portable and easy to use solution that doesn't get in the way of my normal gear. I've run into no issues with this live ever....the Puc + does exactly what I need/want it to do. AWESOME little unit

funky little device that does what it says
i wish the usb port was more standardized, i don't really have many midi usb devices with this connector on the other end, as they mainly plug into desktops. but other than that it's a great little device. I'm using mine via midi cable, response is pretty instantaneous going through bluetooth coreaudio. mainstage works like a dream.

Update the firmware via the app
5 stars because it works for the basic function I need: wirelessly using a MIDI keyboard with my iOS apps. I don't have any particular need of any esoteric features or MIDI support. The manual could be a lot better. You need to download their app to get it going, and I needed a firmware update before it would respond to being turned off. But after that hiccup it's been smooth sailing.

But the worse thing was the product did not work
I received a package that had been opened and the product inside was not new. It had finger prints on it and the clear film had been removed and replaced probable more than once (it also had finger prints and didn't adhere well to the surface of the puc+. But the worse thing was the product did not work! It wouldn't even power up when connected to my midi keyboard. I wish I had listen to the low star reviews. I do not recommend this product as I received it.

Received a grimy finger print covered used one instead of a new one.
Wouldn't power my PNOScan module - but it did work with just the MIDI cable. However - I was disgusted by the fact that I received a used item when it was listed as new. It had the batteries already installed, fingerprints all over it - and hair caught in the plastic molding. Retail box had the plastic sealed sticker already tucked under - so no way could this have ever been sold new. Device probably works for most situations and I could have lived with using the MIDI cable instead of USB - but no thanks.
