Not many in package
Taste good. Only has 8 oz for chips and 2 oz for bag. Totally disappointed. This is it. I measured 4 packages and all looked like this. Only 1/8 of package had chips in it below the Salt and Vinegar line. I am cancelling this subscription. I have order other chips and all were a better value and had more than this package.

Came across these by accident. I’m so glad I did!!
I came across these tasty chips by accident and am so glad I did! I grabbed a 1oz size bag of the BBQ flavor from a snack-basket in the lobby of a business while waiting for my appointment. I ate them after I left, and wished I had more!! I researched the company and learned they’re not sold in stores but went right to my Amazon account and ordered a case of the 5oz size. The were delivered quickly and nicely boxed. All bags were intact. We’ve eaten two of the bags so far and given two away for family to try. The BBQ has a nice smoky flavor with just enough flavor added so that you can still taste the yumminess of the chip. The chips are advertised as a “thick cut” and I would say this is true. They’re the perfect thickness to give the chip a good crunch. Also, there were no fragile chips to break up and end up in pieces at the bottom of the bag. We were able to finish the whole bag and enjoy each chip.

Grab a napkin. YUM.
Amazon wants me to rate potato chips on “sheerness”? I don’t usually associate features of my pantyhose with features of snacks. These aren’t at all sheer. But they are amazingly tasty. They’re also coated with lots of tiny bits (not really potato chip crumbs either) of tastiness. They’re messy to eat. But we scarfed them down. I’m allergic to corn but these are corn-free though they do have “bakers yeast extract” as the 11th of 14 ingredients (counting the spices individually). Often “yeast extract” is a corn derived umami booster. But I didn’t react, except of course to reorder. Man oh man are these tasty. They’re also plenty greasy. But hey, you’re not gonna order barbecue chips because they’re not tasty and not fried, are you? No, me either. Hooray! You can subscribe to them too! (Maybe not a good idea if looking beach ready this summer is your goal.) But if you want the best ever bbq chips for your immediate-family only sanctioned get together this is the one to buy.

“Best” category above all chips!
These are amazing chips. The people who make them really know their potatoes. The flavor is within the top 3 or 4 brands of plain salted potato chips that I’ve ever tasted. I include in that category: Lays “Simply” potato chips with sea salt; Late July “simple as sea salt” Potato Chips; and Kettle Organic salted potato chips. These are as good as any of them and are maybe the best of all. Exquisitely cooked for a certain texture, crisp but never too hard, these chips chew easily and do not form lethal shards that dig into the roof of your mouth and gums. These make your taste buds sit up and beg for more.Usually when I try chips like these, I say “that’s interesting” and never come back to them. But I tried this brand for the first time yesterday, and I’ve already finished off the bag. Umm... I can see how that might be a problem! But not the kind of problem or which we take off stars. Heck, this is 5 stars through and through. No... this is 11 stars. Gotta be 11 stars. Delicious! They are also very clean — no bad spots that cooked up black or green edges or burned skins. Just beautiful, yellow, plain salted potatoes. Worth finding and doing whatever it takes to get them. (Legally, of course) I say 5 stars. 5 real ones. 6 imaginary ones. 11 stars!

Way too expensive and greasy
I was so excited to try something new. I had a chip similar to this one come and something didn't taste right, it was a really healthy chip. But it made me sick to my stomach. So I decided to try this one and I just had a few bites, I couldn't wait. Now I'm sorry I did. I had my gallbladder out, so my body doesn't digest meat well and it gets upset from anything greasy. It is just the way my stomach is. So I tried one and it was sort of stale tasting, I checked the bag and it had plenty of time for expiration, then I took a chip and put it in the light and it looked greasy. So that is what I was tasting. The box was haphazard, maybe from shipping. Not a bag crushed though and good bags besides. But I tell it like I tasted it and I thought $5.00 for one of the 5 ounce chip bags was a lot. So I got 5 of those bags and I couldn't even eat one. I feel bad writing this review because it is likely the maker put a lot of hard work into his chip making. Depending on what was used for oil, seems to be the issue. I don't know, perhaps I will check to see, but it spoiled the whole chip whatever it was. I can't use Vegetable Oil or Cannola Oil, those two hurt my stomach. Maybe cottonseed oil would be the best. Sunflower also hurts my stomach some times, but it is better than Vegetable Oil or Cannola Oil. Back to the chip making process to find an oil to make the number 1 chip. I hope they do, but this is an honest review.

Excellent, thick, crunchy, organic-- really delicious!
Expertise takes time, so it is no surprise that it took 4th-generation potato-only farmers growing organic potatoes to produce some of the best potato chips I have ever tasted! These are the real deal — no fake stuff, super thick cut and they come from their sustainable farm. They remind me of another great potato chip from years ago, Crunch Gators-- which were also super thick and crunchy. I also really love, in this time of need, that they heavily support Farmers Ending Hunger. Best new chip I have tried in years-- the only one I will be buying going forward. Happy 4th to everyone-- maybe next year we can all watch fireworks together without masks and physical distancing.

So Glad I Found These Potato Chips!
At last - potato chips that taste like the potato chips of my 1940s childhood! I now try to keep these in the house all the time and I buy them by the case of 5oz bags. And because they're thick, I tend to chew them slowly and that also brings out all the wonderful flavor. In my opinion, the amount of sea-salt is just right, and although with dip they are delish, I really prefer them just as they are. My thanks to the farmers and the folks at Spudlove. Organic, non-GMO, gluten-free. Who could ask for more?
