I love this product! It gives enough grit without weighing hair down, doesn't make hair oily or shiny. It allows you to still be able to manipulate your hair into the style you want. You can leave it as is or finish with a hairspray. For reference, I have fine, thin hair that is naturally curly but I blow dry straight often.

This is great for fine hair. It provides a light hold for styling before using hairspray. After drying and putting large curls in my hair, I spray it lightly and run my fingers through my hair, lightly tease, then apply light mist of hairspray.

Im a male purchaser of this product and stand by it 100%!!! This is the only product of its kind. I see a lot of other products posing as a spray for texture, but buyer beware as some of those competitors are a “spray wax” and will leave your hair looking shiny in many cases. This product is perfect for giving just enough volume that you’re looking for. I use it on my dry short fine hair. It gives me volume in ways that no other product has been able to. I’ve used it for years. On some occasions when I haven’t been able to find it locally I’ve had to resort to other products that say they provide the same only to be disappointed and it being a waste of money. This product is worth every cent. I hope amazon continues to give a deal when buying 2 or more!!! I recommend a hairspray after using if you’re looking for a stronger hold as this doesn’t give much of a hold. It is sort of like a dry shampoo just with more texture control.

I love this product. I have a lot of fine, wavy hair that is heavy enough that the bottom always has more volume (and frizz...) while the top is weighed down and flat. I use this to give me more volume at the roots and it does a great job! I tend to wear my hair in braided styles quite often as well and this is PERFECT for giving you enough hold and volume to have a nice thick braid that doesn't get too many flyaways. It is great to take down shine if your hair is a bit oily as well but if you want a shiny, finished look then this is likely not the product you are looking for. Great for beachy, summer waves or texture and hold without any stickiness or crunch. I would definitely recommend.

Spray Clay gives my super fine hair more body and it feels thicker. I recommend it to all of my friends.

I’ve used and sworn by the Sexy Hair Matte Clay for years, but I figured I might try out the spray to see if I might be able to get a little more volume out of it.Personally, I’ve found the hold is not nearly as strong, I have naturally very wavy hair that I like to keep pretty clean cut and tame. The clay works perfect for that but I found that the spray is not nearly as effective even if I cake it on strong.Others mentioned that they liked the smell, personally I do not. The actual smell itself is okay beyond the initial aerosol smell when you put it on but I find it to be extremely overpowering and doesn’t really wear out throughout the day. Not great if you wear cologne or any type of scent you don’t want to be overpowered by that.Lastly, even using it conservatively, it doesn’t last nearly as long as the clay despite being more expensive. I can make a puck last 2-3 months putting it on pretty thick but I nearly ran out of the spray in less than two weeks and I only put it on thick once or twice.
