Worked Great
Worked on my Pomeranian wonderfully. After my groomer shaved her down, a no-no, she began losing hair on tail and back end. After 2-1/2 years I was sure she had alopecia. Tried Dermagic and after a couple months of brushing and applying lotion, my baby is back. Her coat is even softer than before the hairloss! 100% so glad I bought this lotion. I even told the Vet who wanted to do all sorts of test. worked for me!

Pomeranian with Alopecia/BSD
WOW! I had to edit my review because just when I had given up on the product and written a bad review, less than one week later my Pomeranians hair started to grow back! I used this product every night for 6 weeks straight and finally saw re growth just as I finished my first bottle. See photo of how her she’s experiencing new growth(the red patches)! Miracle product! Glad I committed to using this daily!

Pomeranian with alopecia/BSD-- it worked!
My Pomeranian began losing his coat approximately two years ago, when he was 1.5 years old-- we first noticed it on his back legs, and over the next year the hair loss slowly crept up to his stomach. I took him to our vet, who suspected alopecia. I then took him to a dermatology specialist who confirmed Alopecia X by taking a skin biopsy and sending it to a lab in Tennessee. I was told there wasn't anything I could do to treat it, but that it wouldn't hurt him.I had read about DERMagic online and decided to give it a try. I started it in October of 2023, only applying it to his bald spots on his stomach. At first I didn't think it was working. Two months later (middle of December) his skin suddenly became really flakey and much to my shock new hair started to sprout. At that point his bald spots began to move up toward his chest and sides, and so I "chased" them with the DERMagic lotion, still spot-treating. In hindsight this prolonged his treatment and I would have been much better off clipping him short right and applying it all over when I first started treatment in October (as DERMagic recommends on their website). Instead, I held off on clipping him short until March (picture on red rug), and that's when his hair loss really accelerated on his sides and back (picture on pink rug). It wasn't pretty, but you can see the healthy new hair coming in on his stomach and chest (picture wearing a tie). His coat finished growing in through July, and as of today he still has only a little tiny bit left to grow near his tail (last two photos). I had stopped applying the DERMagic due to traveling, etc, but have recently started applying it again to that area, and it's already filling in. Overall his coat is as silky and thick as it was before and consists of both an undercoat and guard hairs. To say his groomer and vet are absolutely shocked by the results would be an understatement!Helpful tips for DERMagic: Consider clipping short and applying all over right from the get-go. I also started him at twice-a-day per their recommendation, but eventually decreased to once every 2-3 days as his skin became more flakey and irritated. It's helpful to have "puppy pajamas" (scored some from Target and Petco around the holidays) or a onesie to use overnight to help contain the lotion and the flakes.Other things that may have helped: I started him on a raw diet (Stella and Chewy's dehydrated patties, which he LOVES) although he was previously on a very high quality kibble recommended by his breeder. He has always been itchy, and so I also started him on Apoquel in the middle of December, right around the same time his new hair started coming in. He gets fish oil on his food every morning and melatonin 2x a day with his meals (we started melatonin back when his hair loss first started and it didn't seem to do anything, but we're too nervous to stop now).Overall we're thrilled that he is no longer shivering and has his beautiful coat back!

Working Slowly
I got this for my Pomeranian who all of a sudden lost her coat in her tail and back end. It seems to be working but very slowly. It is a thick sticky lotion and you need to wash the area at least every two weeks. It is a very slow process but it seems to be working slowly. If you're looking for a quick fix this is not it. I just put in the area daily and rub it in real well and off she goes. I am finally starting to see a bit of growth so I am happy about that and with this lotion as well. It is just a slow process that is all

My DERMagic Experience
Hello all! First of all before I begin my review, I want whoever is reading this to first and foremost know this is MY experience with these products, and every dog’s body, condition and experience will be different. I just wanted to share how it worked for my pup. If you are struggling with this black skin desease or dry skin condition, I highly first recommend you get your dog tested for the following: a blood panel, urinalysis, thyroid testing and adrenal hormone testing. My vet also took some samples of my dogs dry skin to look under a microscope to see if there were any bacteria. I recommend this in order to rule out any other underlying conditions. Based on the results, the veterinarian will recommend treatment. Make sure you do a lot of research before treating your dog. Fortunately for me, all test results came back good and the vet recommended a mousse (which made my dog’s skin dryer and worse). So I took matters into my own hands and did research. I first used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Lotion every day on the BALD SPOTS of my dog and I used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Grooming Spitz on the rest of the body (make sure you spit the hair open so the spray gets onto the dogs skin). After I finished applying I would put on a jump suit and washable diaper on my dog so the product stayed on and wouldn’t rub off while getting on the bed, couches, floor, etc.I used “KOESON Dog Recovery Suit, Dog Onesie” and the diaper was from PetSmart “Top Paw washable diaper.” I would do it every night and in the mornings remove diaper and jumpsuit.Instead of washing my dog once a month I washed her every two weeks. The day before bath, I would cover the dry areas with coconut oil and put on her jumpsuit and diaper for the night. Use extra virgin, organic, cold-pressed unrefined coconut oil.The next day I would wash her using “TropiClean OxyMed Hypo-Allergenic Oatmeal shampoo” then using “DERMagic organic shampoo bar (Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil),” then I would use the “DERMagic Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil Conditioner.”In time her black skin was slowly disappearing and her bald spots was growing back hair. Once she grew out a lot of hair and it looks great, I would just use the spray twice a week and brush her hair out 1-2 times a week. I will continue to wash her twice a month and will be maintaining her coat in great shape. I noticed this condition started as soon as I neglected brushing her hair weekly and now using spray. What also helped was applying salmon oil every day into her diet. I used Zesty Pawls brand.Consistency and patience is key! I’m on month three now of this hard work and it definitely paid off!
