Follow up series from The Brotherhood of the Stone and Fraternity of the Stone
I liked how the author brought two different characters from the first two books in this series to work together for a common cause in this book. It brings in historical events of Hitler's regime as basis for the disappearance of several aged men while their children search diligently to find them. It shows how intense hate and revenge can turn into forgiveness when faced with the reality of what getting even really means.

The League
This is a first rate thriller. From the time I opened this book, I was unable to put it down. I purposely purchaed this book to read while on vacation, which I started on the flight. Within a few hours after arriving at my vacation destination on the west coast, I finished the book. It is the type of story that is just impossible to put down. Clearly, this is the product of a great thriller writer with a fantastic imagination and a superior ability to tell a story. I especially liked the inter-weaving of facts into the fiction of the novel, to the point of where I was beginning to question the real history of the main theme. His choice of characters, their different personalities and his integration of their individual character into the theme set this story head and shoulders above others of the same genre. Well done!

Oldie but goodie for thriller lovers
I read this in 2016 and the book was probably written in the 1980's. No cellphones to get people out of trouble, and when a terrorist was described as having a mouth full of $300 crowns, I knew the book was likely 30 years old or so.But still an enjoyable read featuring former German SS officers disappearing, a sinister plot involving the Vatican and a secret order of priests who assasinate.Far-fetched but fun and with a good deal of twists along the way.Highly recomended for thriller lovers - written by the creator of Rambo.

Couldn't put it down...
I was drawn to this book by its title and cover art, but the storyline kept me riveted to the very end. I felt as if I knew these characters, and it turns out I did know them from two prior books (The Brotherhood of the Rose, and The Fraternity of the Stone) which I had read over 30 years ago! Night & Fog completes a trilogy, but in this edition, the author has also provided an addendum that ties up all the loose ends left when he made a personal decision not to write a fourth book, so I'm glad I didn't read it until now. If you like mystery, conspiracy, and covert operations, you'll love this book!

It was a very good terror tactic
Exciting story! The Night & Fog was a Nazi tactic used to punish people who rebelled. They would kidnap folks and their families would NEVER hear what became of them. It was a very good terror tactic. Now many prominent men are missing with no apparent ties. Their children start searching for their missing fathers. The reader is trailing along with the searchers looking for clues as to who took these men and how are they tied to other missing men. Several stories come together eventually. I enjoyed the ride very much. This was not book 1 of the series (which I didn't know) but it was fine as a stand alone.

Decent mystery
I didn't look at the publication date before I bought this so it was a little disconcerting to read a n "older" story a la early Jack Reacher. The story was interesting if pretty unbelievable. Not enough to make me continue reading the series but not a waste of time either.

Final part of trilogeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Great finale to the other books in this threesome. You must read 'Brotherhood of the rose' first and then 'Fraternity of the Stone' followed by this, when all stories come together.
