SweetGourmet Chocolate Filled Straws | Christmas Candy | 1.5 pounds

There was not any chocolate in these straws. I would have sent them back but it wasn’t allowed. Don’t waste your money!!!

Last time I got these they were decent! I waited for the holiday season to come again for them to be in stock again ,only to be disappointed. Most of mine have no chocolate in them and the few that do it’s very, very, very little, the second photo there’s absolutely no chocolate at all just a different flavor of hard candy? The price you pay for these, it’s definitely not worth it! I’m super sad and I will have to find another company to go with for my chocolate filled straw needs!

Very good flavor! Not as much chocolate filling as I hoped for. But definitely good!!

This package was in a soft bag and the candy was very broken up. I don’t think the package was enough protection for shipping. The candy has bery nice flavor but is very thick around the chocolate and is not the right texture or ratio of chocolate. You can’t taste the chocolate. I am disappointed that they are not as good as other chocolate straws I have had.

First of all, these tasted stale (texture); as maybe they've been in the warehouse too long. Second, they were very thick on the hard candy part (fat candy pieces unlike traditional straws that are thinner) and barely any chocolate in the center (the main treat inside the hard candy). Third, what barely any little chocolate you could taste was not that chocolaty or tasty. Major disappointment for someone who loves traditional chocolate straws and has been eating them for most all my life (nearly 70 years). And to add to my disappointment, they are non-returnable even though. Would have given lesser rate on stars if I could. Major Amazon disappointment.

This candy is so delicious! Very pretty colors! A few were broken but that is to be expected. A perfect gift for the elderly, who usually don't order online.

I haven't had chocolate straws in years but was recently jarred into remembering them from my childhood resulting in a 3 lb order (two 1.5 lb bags). Disappointed that the chocolate sliver inside is a far cry from how these used to be made: with a thick chocolate filling and less hard candy. There's actually so little chocolate, you have to imagine it's there - the taste doesn't predominate like it should. Whoever tweaked this age-old recipe from a nice thick chocolate filling with less hard candy to more hard candy and minimal chocolate should be given coal for Christmas. Santa Claus and everyone else is disappointed. I won't buy these again.
