Yotsuba Volume 2
If you have read Yotsuba vol 1, you might be eagerly awaiting a sequel and be very thankful to find the series continues! Volume 2 is further full of the hilarious adventures (and misadventures) of Yotsuba, as she brings delight and fun to her neighbors and friends! What an awesome manga series! Highly recommended!

Hardboiled Yotsuba
Volume 2 continues the daily antics of Yotsuba. The volume does a good job of getting the reader better acquainted with her neighbors Fuuka, Ena and Asagi. The highlight of the volume is definitely the chapter where Yotsuba sees a crime drama on tv and decides to become a vigilante with a squirt gun as the only means of justice. What ensued made me laugh so hard I started to tear up.

Incredible!
I've written a review for volume 1 on how everyone should read this manga series. No need to tell you that again, but on with the review for volume 2.Yotsuba is already good friends with their next door neighbor and are spending a great deal of time together (especially with Ena and her friend). There are many new stories in this volume that are simply too funny, such as Yotsuba & Revenge (Yotsuba reenacts a scene from a TV show in real life with a water gun as a gun), Yotsuba & Pools is a story where Yotsuba invites Asagi to go to the pool (since Jumbo is too shy to ask) and turns out to be Fuka and Ena going instead. There is just too many funny stories and moments within this book to mention, so go ahead and get it, what are you waiting for?

Little Wonder!
Ok, I've been invited to review book 2, but what I say here applies to the whole set.I took a punt on this and have not regretted it.The production values are high regarding the cover, binding etc (none of the books have fallen apart) and the art is sharp and detailed. It's a beautiful, endearing and funny story that keeps popping up in my head regularly. I've read it through about three times now & it's still fresh. It follows the day to day experiences of a five year old girl (Yotsubato)and her interactions with the world and the people around her. As she has seemingly led a sheltered (rural?) lifestyle, the move to city suburbs is a real eye-opener for her. This is where the tale begins, coincidentally at the start of the school summer holidays.Carefree times, lazy days. Do as I did & read it sitting in the sun on a winters day - it's a great escape!WARNING: There is a volume six that concludes the summer holiday, but since ADV have reined in all non anime activities it seems to be in production limbo. Not catastrophic, but it would have been nice to round out the set. See Wikipedia for details.Four stars? Gotta hold one back in case there's something better out there!

Still a darling read
This is the second book of a wonderful series. The special thing about Yostusba's perspective is she may be a 5 years old, but she's also a touch weird for a 5 year old. This opens the door for a lot of humor between her innocence and weird nature. When it's not being funny, it's downright sweet.

Charming graphic novel that should be on your bookshelf
This is the second volume of Yotsuba I've bought from Amazon (very good price), about the funny young girl in Japan. She acts very strangely, even for a child like her, but she is constantly joyful. She is also the focal point of frequently hilarious events, which is one of the reasons why I chose this book after sampling the story in a library.I recommend this book to anyone (adults and kids alike), and this volume has the really funny 'Vengeance' episode, where Yotsuba causes havoc in her neighbour's house with a water gun. You should also check out Azumanga Daioh (by the same artist), but whilst Daioh has some geniunely laugh-out-loud moments, Yotsuba's humour takes less time to build up.I recommend a purchase! Go for it!
