Do the job easily.
Most manual crank style ones are junk and quit working in a short time, while these are simple and get the job done. These can be used in the kitchen every day and with this set you can distribute them to wallet, car glove box, camping kit, etc, so one is always available.

More than a military grade can-opener - a cheap, useful keychain multitool!
Using these can openers to open cans takes a little skill. You have to learn how to do it, but once you get the hang of it, they're easy to use. Sure, not as easy as a big bulky can opener (though easier than some of those I've used). But certainly a lot easier than opening a can with a knife, etc. Like the old saying goes, it really is all in the wrist.Using them to take out a flat head screw, or trim some fishing line, or cut some twine, etc. is also easy once you get the hang of it. There are a lot of ways to use these, when you think about it.The quality of these ones in particular was super high. I'm very impressed! The metal is thick so they won't bend, and stainless so they won't rust. The blade is plenty sharp to cut right through a tin can, and the hinge is strong keeping the blade where it belongs. And at the price, they're a terrific value! I put one on my keychain, one in my kitchen drawer, one in my tackle box, one in each glove box, and gave a few away to friends. Everyone loves them, and I didn't spend a dime more than just buying one decent standard can opener. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Perfect "Emergency" Option - can stash one of these anywhere
If you know what this kind of opener is and how to use it, there is nothing else to say - they work perfectly and do not take up any space. I keep one in any travel bag just in case.

simple and effective
I have kept on my keychain and carried a P-51 Model can opener for over fifty years. I bought these ten to replace my lost one and to give as gifts. It works as an emergency screwdriver, as a little tool to pry things apart, and certainly as as can opener. In fact, years ago I used it to open a five-pound coffee can, saving amazed colleagues from a caffeine-free morning. What is more, no-one believed I could use this little gizmo to open such a big coffee can, so after doing so rather quickly, I strutted around all day, my tiny ego inflated enormously.

It's a can opener
I usually get a couple years out of these before I swap to a new one. I keep one on my key ring and use it several times a week. You just can't beat them. I've carried this brands can opener for well over a decade and never broke one, never heard of one being broken. I put them under the plastic lids of my freezer dried food. I also pass them out as simple gifts to help boost morale, I know it sounds crazy but it's a simple way to let people know your thinking about them and give them something that's actually useful and can help bail them out of a pinch. More than a few times I've been to family reunions or picnics/grillings and no one brought a can opener, these little things save the day.

Say goodbye to all other can openers!
Where most crank operated can openers fail to latch properly after a lot of use, these never fail. Surprisingly they don't require much force to operate either. The major plus is that they are light as a feather and take up no space. I use these in the kitchen, thew a few in some camping bags, and gave away some to relatives... all for a lower price than the crap they sell in storesOnly downside is that these show rust after putting them through the dishwasher, but will do fine if washed and dried manually.
