ARIES 3065 1-1/2-Inch Black Steel Grille Guard, No-Drill, Select Ford Explorer

Bought this 2 weeks ago and it arrived this weekend, very very happy with the outcome. It did come slightly scuffed but nothing that paint/tape could cover but it adds character to me. Took me and my buddy about 2/3 hours with it on ramps and is very easy to install after watching a video of grandpa installing a 2016 guard, I'd 100% recommend watching it , the video makes it much clearer. Absolutely love the outcome.

Directions were good. I did not need to remove the lower plastic air dam below the bumper. It is easier to just measure and cut out the small area the brush guard passes through. This way you don’t have to replace the plastic rivets that secure the air dam to the bumper. Other than that, very pleased with how it turned out.

All mounting hardware where good brush guard it’s self looks nice and looks durable only issue was that the brush guard didn’t fit my vehicle brush guard was too small so when you would install it both sides hit the headlight their was no gap between had to send it back.

Fit perfect and well attached. Instructions were great and super happy.

Pros:I think it makes the front end of my explorer look so much more aggressive. Everything you need comes with it and it only took an hour to put on with some help from my little brother. You will need to cut a small slot out of the lower fascia, I was able to do this with a utility knife. It also gives you some peace of mind knowing your front end is better protected.Cons:It did come with a scrape on it which was disappointing, but luckily it is in a spot that is hardly noticeable.Instructions were not great, luckily there is a video on youtube of a similar grill guard being placed on a newer explorer. Also, keep in mind the grille guard makes you look like more of a cop and people will hate you for it. I've already been cussed out by someone for it, as well as a few dirty looks. So it's something you'll have to get use too.

So after about months with it on the spots where the supports mount under the hood with the padding on top have started cracking the paint.Installation took a minute, but wasn't very difficult. I went off roading to get to a creek on an old jeep trail. front end smacked the round off a rock and shifted the whole thing caused some minor scratches to the front and bent the support arms. Shipping took an extra two weeks and they rescheduled it without telling me or calling me.

This is a great product for the price considering it's only about $500 it should offer decent protection for your vehicle I have an Explorer Sport that's it's a little lower to the ground and it's already helped save the front bumper
