I got this to mix with the hermit crab sand in their tank. This seems like a good value for 3 of these compressed tablets compared to the retail mark-up in pet specialty stores. You mix this with water to decompress the substrate. This substrate disc is similar to the compressed potting soil/ peat discs you might be familiar with if you do any gardening or have purchased seed starter kits (except this is coconut fiber not soil).I have a small tank with just two crabs. One disc mixed with half a bag of hermit sand was enough for my needs, so I have some spare material for cleaning and changing the tank. The substrate is brown, looks very natural, looks like it should, performs as expected

OK, the bedding was great unfortunately it was just so small. It’s hard to determine how big these are and I have an aquarium when I got these and I was thinking they were bigger so when I got them in my pour hermit crowd had only like half an inch across the bottom and he was not a happy crap he could not bury himself so definitely need to have bigger ones. At least let us know that these are only, 2” x 2” and you’re gonna need 10 of them or more if you have an aquarium lol
