I am extremely disappointed in this product. One of the blades broke off during it's first use! I would not recommend it due to the shoddy spot welds of the blades. Plus, they charge 50% of the cost of the product to ship it. Find something else. Returning it doesn't help me, unfortunately, since I don't live in the U.S.

This product is a big fail! All the parts cannot be assembled correctly for use. It comes in three parts and two cannot be assembled with the given dimensions. So, I was not even able to use it even once. I would not recommend this product.

Never buy this product!!! I got a similar product from India but the same one may be a different brand.First of all it doesnt stick to any of the kitchen counter tops.So as it is not fixed there is no question of handling a coconut and scraping it.pls dont buy this and waste your money.

Very sturdy and convenient

Sharp & sturdy blade. Easy to use. The main focus here is the suction so that the base sticks well, and the overall tool remains stable- it does that well. At the price point, I’d say it’s a solid product.

Excellent product, i am using this product

This is my favorite Coconut Grater. This grips on all surfaces (wood, concrete & granite). I have granite counter top in my kitchen and this is the only product that's sturdy and has a great suction cup that grips the surface tight. Also the Thermo plastic sleeve that runs over the grating part of stainless steel is very useful in keeping the grater and the lever on the other side in position. Very dexterous set up. I've used this product in the United States and I'm in India now and I couldn't carry my old one with me for weight and space reasons. So I wanted to buy a new one here in India. But the product arrived in filthy condition. It was probably kept in a corner of a warehouse and gathered dust for a long time. So it arrived with a dead insect (probably a cockroach) and it's larva on 2 of its grating blades. Now I'll try to clean it and use it but I'm disappointed. I dunno who (Amazon or Anjali) is responsible for this but I have taken a picture of it to prove it. I'm not in a mood to return it because I don't see this product on a shelf in stores. Moreover, return and replace could take days, may be weeks. I need this NOW. As a southerner most of our recipes include grated coconut so I can't afford to wait any longer. Amazon delivered it in 3 days so a 3 star for that but be assured you lost a chance to get a 5 star. Keep products clean.

I have not eaten grated coconut for many years as finding a good tool was daunting. This coconut scraper is excellent, functionality exactly as described. I made some delicious poriyal (photo attached) and the quantity of coconut you see is only from half a coconut. The suction power could have been better but I don't think we can expect more at this cost. If your suction fails, you can simply keep the scraper on a platform and rotate the coconut around it like a traditional scraper and the effect will still be the same. As some reviews mentioned, the blade is too close to the main body and some of the grated coconut falls over. This can be easily remedied if you keep your coconut scraper on a plate instead of a platform so you can collect everything that falls too and there is no wastage. The space between each blade is around the width of the tip of your little finger, so it is a bit difficult to wash but you can use a brush to get the coconut scraps out.
