Cabinet
A little challenging to put together, but very happy with the results. It’s better quality than I had expected.

Pleasantly surprised (But man, does it stink!).
For what it is, this is a pretty nice cabinet. I shopped for a piece of specific dimensions to fit in a tight space. Purchased from Amazon and shipped quickly from the seller, my initial impression when opening the box was "this is going to be a piece of junk." I decided to go ahead and assemble the cabinet (rather than sending it back) as I have extra space and could always find some place to put it. As the (simple) assembly process progressed, I realized it was going to meet my expectations (except for the stink, more on that in a second). A heavy duty, expensive cabinet it is not. But for the money it looks OK and I think will hold up over time (I will actually use this as a built in piece in an extra bathroom remodel). But, now I have to mention (as have other reviewers) the smell. Good Grief!!!! This thing stinks to high heaven of an odor which I have never smelt before. I suspect a silicone/epoxy as it has a trace of vinegar (?) in what is an unappealing and STRONG odor. I think it will pass or cure over time, at least I hope it will! The cabinet is, of course, constructed from particle board (you did not expect hardwood for $70 did you?) and I think the stink is from a chemical or binder in the compressed wood particles. It looks good, suits my needs and I'd buy it again, but only assuming the smell goes away.*****UPDATE: 24 hours later. I originally gave this cabinet "5 Stars" but I am taking 2 of them back due solely to the stink. I have this unit on the second floor of a 2 story house and you can smell the odor of this thing as soon as you walk into the house on the first floor. They sure must use some funky glue in China as the smell is unbelievable. initially I was skeptical of other reviewers who commented on the smell, but be assured they were not exaggerating. I'm going to take this outside into the summer sun and see if it will cook the odor out of this thing. If that does not work, this will find its way to my shed where it can help repel critters as my dog will probably not want it in the garage. Seriously.******UPDATE #2: Ok, I will give them a star back, awarding a total of 4. Aired this thing out and the smell has diminished significantly (that or my olfactory sensors are permanently damaged). But, it still looks good and I think will be a nice deal in the long run for what it is. If you have the space in a garage or outside to open up the box and let the pieces air out for a few days before assembly I recommend you do so.

Good product, but poor instructions
This fit perfectly into a tiny opening between my oven and kitchen wall in a studio that desperately needed more storage, so that suited my needs nicely. However, putting it together was a pain because the included instructions were worse than Ikea.Let me give you a few tips so that you won't have to spend as much time decoding them as I did... keep the holes for the door spring hinges facing each other, on the front of the unit, but opposite the magnetic closing mechanism for the doors. It's very difficult to see which way to flip those middle shelves initially, until you orient them against the doors. Also, don't make the same mistake I did on the small white rectangular piece that covers the bottom front panel, underneath the lower door... This piece gets secured with wooden pegs and glue, but I had already tightened the two side panels, so there was no way to secure this piece... I only managed to get one side of the wooden pegs in. I tried to simply glue the other side but it shifted during installation, so I doubt it stays put if I move the unit. Also, the backs of the cabinet are thin cardboard that gets secured via a few nails... I made sure to put some of the leftover glue on the backs of the shelves, and then hammer some nails through from the back because otherwise -- if you only secure the nails around the edges -- the backs will bend every time you push against them. Finally, if you are worried about it toppling over (it's not rickety at all for me), they include some brackets to secure it at the top to a wall... I can't use them because my floor molding keeps it too far away from being flush against the wall, but I am not worried because it doesn't wiggle, surprisingly. The wood panels are nice and heavy, honestly. I even put some heavy things on the bottom shelves just to be safe and anchor it.It's a good unit, just requires some extra effort to put together in a thorough way. I'm very happy with it now that it's done, but I definitely cursed it a few times during the process, LOL.

great little cabinet
For those that think the dowels don't fit. I made the same mistake too. There are two different sizes of dowels, don't get them mixed up! luckily the glue hadn't dried, and I got the large dowels out of the small holes in time. Now it's perfect!

Horrendous Assembly & Not Sturdy
I would not recommend this product.Let me tell you why.None of the smaller assembly pieces (such as the screws) are labeled in the packaging. This made it very difficult to assemble considering many of the screws look the same and are the same sizes. I received three shelves labeled “1” and NO “2”s. (There should’ve been one 1 shelf and two 2 shelves) Since they were the same sized shelves, I continued to build it. Then I received 7 wooden pegs when there should’ve been 8. Thankfully I had another small wooden peg from other furniture pieces I’ve built so I used that and continued building. Then when I was connecting pieces together, one of the wooden pegs that CAME with the packaging split the connecting piece of wood. I put white tape over it and still continued building. Finally, after everything went wrong, all I had to do was put on the doors! Well thanks to receiving 3 shelves labeled “1”, there weren’t correct holes for the doors. I had to use a drill and create my own door holes. Thankfully it worked and I have a finished product, but I wouldn’t recommend it at all. You’re supposed to screw the top of the shelves to the wall but due to the trim at the bottom of my walls (as most rooms have) the shelves don’t lay flat to be able to secure it. Because of this, the whole thing is very insecure and could fall over if a child played with it or if a pet, such as a cat, jumped on it. I put heavy objects at the bottom of mine to help prevent it from tipping but it still isn’t sturdy. If that would be a problem for you, DO NOT BUY if you don’t plan on securing it to your wall!
