The media could not be loaded. This is one mighty little reel. I bought the TSSD 3000 model and paired it up with a 5 foot "Controller 1pc M Trolling 5'" rod by Quantum Zebco. It was a nice little rod for my 6 year old son to use his first time on the ocean because the rental rods on the boat were too big for him. I rigged him for smaller fish which is what he mostly caught all day. Then it happened.. An absolute fluke that gave this little mighty-moe a chance to prove itself. And prove itself it definitely did! This little reel stood strong against a formidable foe! My boy somehow hooked onto a 40lb Amberjack and the fight was on! It had a low gear ratio which made it a little easier for my little man to reel. The little rod stood strong too. Reminded me of one of those unbreakable combs.. They were (are) the perfect combo for a kid starting out on the ocean. Ultimately my son got tired and dear ol dad had to take over but our total fish fight time was about 25 minutes of pure battle and this little reel held up TOUGH! Everyone on the boat watched in amazement because we all thought this rod was going to give out.. But it didn't and now I have a feeling a few of the fishermen on the boat are going to pick one of these up for their kids. Once we got the fish onboard this little rod earned a name.. I jokingly kept saying the whole time I was fighting that fish what a challenge it was fighting such a giant using this little "toothpick".. Then after we got the beast onboard one of the crew called it the "Titan Toothpick". A name well earned and well deserved. And this reel got the job done. Even with a 40lb known fighting runner on the hook, my 6 year old was still able to reel it. Awesome reel! Period.

Very good reel for the price

The media could not be loaded. I read the reviews and decided for the price you cannot beat. It works great. It was very cheap. We ruled up several nice redfish. I would take a chance in both of mine work great pulled up some big fish. I go from gulf of Mexico on the reels

*UPDATE* (The Seller did contact me only to say "sorry" .....Well thats all)First when I ordered the Reel as a prime member it said "free prime two day shipping" (I finally received the reel on day 13)Secondly when I finally received the reel it felt great for what the reel is. It casted amazingly the one time I was actually capable of casting it. After the first cast the eccentric lever broke forcing its self out of the reel ( I only had a 1-1/3oz sinking and hook on the sending end.Third of all I was unable to exchange the reel for a replacement due the that fact it took 13 days to arrive. You see apparently the first reel i ordered had been lost in shipping and the reel i had received had been issued to me as "My replacement reel " under the terms that i had requested this and returned the original reel when infact ny original reel had been lot in transit.I wish I was able to have had an ACTUAL replacement reel sent but due to an error which wasn't it eliminated that option.

Received this product and it was initially nonfunctional. (Automatic bail trigger not working.)I returned it and ordered a replacement, which functions as expected.Thankfully, I didn't have to wait long for delivery, so the return didn't take long, either.I expect some issues whenever I buy something for $30.00 that everyone else is selling for $200.00. (I'm talking to you Diawa)Just keep returning item until you get a working item. When you get one of these that works, you will be pleased.
