Good model but frustrating build
The model, once built is really good and makes people double take if it's a tiny dog or not on first glance. I bought the Retriever, in case that is relevant.I'd originally bought it for my child, but the instructions are very complicated and there was no way they'd be able to build it so I needed to. This brings me to another problem... An adult trying to build with blocks this small requires loads of dexterity, and I don't even have particularly large hands. The instructions lay out large numbers of blocks in one layer and then show another layer above it with 'locating marks' between the 2. It is very easy to make mistakes and can take a while to notice and then ages to unpick back to the point the error was made.If/when you finally get it finished then the result is just about worth the hours of patience and concentration it has taken though. ;-)

Very good but not easy
Although it is made clear in the description it would be right to say this isn't Lego but that said it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of building it.All the pieces come in three separate bags which helps to identify particular pieces during the build. As you can see in the pictures against a one pence piece, some of the pieces are really very small which makes them really fiddly to pick up and place in the build. As stated in the description it's the start of the build that is most difficult and it really does get easier as you make progress. That said the instructions are not good at all and I seriously recommend being in a well lit room and the use of a torch. I would also recommend you build it on a tray with a rim because the bricks seem to have a mind of their own and go everywhere. In addition to this I would recommend building it on a place mat turned upside down so the cork bottom is upwards to give you a non slip base, this really helps.I built this over five days doing two to three hours a day which worked well for me and I would be surprised if anyone could sit down and do it all at once. The final result was a lot better than I anticipated and gave me significant satisfaction. All in all a really good purchase and result and it is now living happily in my display cabinet.Good luck to all who buy this and enjoy the experience.

Great but difficult
Two Lego and Collie lovers were delighted to receive this. They’re able to build complex Lego sets and both having degrees in maths and English should be able to make this. However the instructions aren’t as simple as Lego ones so expect to take a lot longer and have to help children as this takes determination to complete

I like it but
I love this , very cute and was fun to have the challenge of buliding it , the only thing bad I’d have to say about it is how small the bricks are and the instructions arnt very clear

Patience needed
This is definite not for younger kids, a lot of patience is needed as the instructions aren't easy and the pieces can be fiddle to stick together. But once done the item looks very nice. Took me 2 days to do (whilst doing other bits around the house) but cheaper then lego and was brought to help me deal with my stress and anxiety which did helps as it clears your mind as your focus on the job at hand.Definitely get another set once I done my Christmas lego presents 😁

Very small pieces - lots of patience needed & time😁
I've nearly finished building the cat, haven't included the photos yet as I want to submit the finished product. It's a lovely idea and looking at the finished product on the listing it's true to the nearly complete model. The reason I purchased this was because the cat looks like one of my own cats, 'Putty'. She actually stud by the box when it arrives and I had to take a picture, she didn't look impressed and I'm she will be even more unimpressed when she sees the finished product!!! My other cat 'Fudge' was very keen and happy to pose by the box but I think even she knew she had the wrong fur!I had initial impressions that this would be similar to Lego and could get my ten year old son involved as he's a dedicated Lego Minecraft builder. Well, forget it, if you're thinking of buying this for a child it isn't a good idea. When I opened the box and was faced with over 4000 tiny pieces my son just said 'forget that', and walked off😁.So this is down to me to build, over time, I've already spent hours and just seems to take forever to build up. The instructions don't make building this easy at all, I wished they would've spent some time in providing a more detailed, clear set of instructions, just like Lego do.The cat is built up in layers, layer after layer, with the odd mistake made here and there, that's why I only spend a small amount of time on this, it can be very frustrating, getting there though. As soon as it's finished I will submit the photos, I will try and get my cat to sit next to it.Recommended.

Christmas present
Bought for my daughter as she loves Lego flower kits and has a Golden Labrador. She loved it and has since ordered another kit from the same company. Good quality

not good instructions. But persevered
Got this and I have to say would look good If you could use the instructions to build it. Instructions don't give you any help and you don't know where the blocks click in. The blue lines on the instructions hide what block to use. I think clear instructions brick by brick would be better like Lego. But ....I did it !!!!And now I'm.glad I did ..
