The item arrived earlier than promised, which was a pleasant surprise. It fit exactly as described. Installation was a bit tricky but, that was not because of the seal but the ring used to secure it in place. Price was very reasonable.

After 6 years, the rubber seal on my Kenmore Elite washer was disgustingly stained with mildew or something. It was starting to make our laundry smell too. This new rubber seal was a perfect fit. Tools I used were a power drill with Phillips bit and needle nose pliers. Yes you can put these difficult rings on without the spring expansion tool but ONLY if you have needle nose pliers that can spread 3.5+ inches tip to tip. I had a small pair and I could not spread the spring enough with them. Went to the hardware store and spent $4.95 on a long pair of needle nose pliers. The tips spread nearly 4 inches apart at maximum spread. It was enough to get those damn rings on in about 3 minutes each. Also, if you have issues forming the seal onto the washer machine, rub dish soap into the crevices and it will slide right on! Another important point....when you take out your old seal, you’ll notice a drain tube coming from the hole at the bottom. I checked the tube and found it to be completely clogged with gunk. This is why water was pooling at the bottom of my seal creating the mildew problem and subsequent smell. I popped the tube off and washed it out in the sink to ensure no more drainage issues. Total project would have taken me 1.5 hours if I had a large pair of needle nose pliers from the start. Washer machine looks like new again and the funky stain and smells are gone!

Perfect fit for LG front loader. Took couple of hours. Ensure the rim and tubes are cleaned out. I didn't use special tool two ppl needed to put the spring on. One hold the top with a plier another person to pull it up. Front spring was easier couple it screw drivers but two ppl needed. The holes lined up well. We bought this used so needed to replace original boot. We need to maintain and use tub clean option to keep it clean. Recommended to use powder detergent to avoid all the gunk build up. Adding bleach while tub clean helps to disinfect and keep it clean.Need to see how long it lasts. Overall happy with the purchase. I've the before and after pictures.
