DDR: Remembering East Germany

An absolutely wonderful, haunting black and white photo essay of the old DDR in a lovely, small and manageable art book. Even better than expected.

A disappointing purchase, based on 1) content of this book 2) condition which I received it.I bought this photobook expecting a lot of good content. While this is meant as an individual's own personal pictures of his time spent in the former East Germany, there was nothing special. Few of the pictures in this book really stood out and it would have benefitted from having longer and more detailed descriptions relating to life (and the author's time) in the GDR.I also did not realise my copy was being dispatched from the Czech Republic until I checked the tracking information. This would not have been a problem had the book been in better condition, something that could be attributed to the mediocre packing.

For those brought up in the "good old days" in the DDR they will find this an interesting remember of times gone by. Interesting,informative and good photos.Was well received as a present!

Libello quasi inutile, con fotografie poco interessanti, che non dà nulla al lettore curioso di DDR. Non lo consiglio. saluti
