Leather Cleaner

Very pleased at how effectively it works. (not worried so much about the smell) I have a garnet interior, and so I want to make sure the interior is protected. Combining this with the Porsche leather conditioner, and your got a tandem of products that does the job.

It has a bit of a scent to it, and I was worried about it lasting. However, my Cayman is in the garage when not being driven, so I leave the windows open at home. The next time I got behind the wheel, I didn't notice any scent. Useful hint: use it and give it some time to dry. If you hop right in after using it, I think it might stain your clothing. I didn't do it, but I worry it could happen. Overall, this is an excellent product.

I'd recommend the Porsche Leather Cleaner for routine cleaning of the leather interior in your Porsche. It works well and leaves the leather fresh, clean and ready for your favorite leather conditioner. Still, I have two issues with this product. The first is that the product smell can be strong and lingering. One of the things I like about my Porsche is the "new car smell", and this product tends to add a smell like a cheap air freshener. It fades in a few days, but the smell could be better. Second, while I found the product to be good at routine leather cleaning, it's not particularly good at stain removal. Fresh stains that aren't worked into the leather probably come out okay, but anything that sinks in (like that dye transfer stain from your favorite dark jeans) is best tackled with another product, such as Leatherique's Pristine Clean, or Leather Masters Dye Transfer Stain Remover.

I have been using this product for years already, it works and I never got any issue with it. I think the formula has improved, since now I do see a little runs longer (meaning I can cover larger areas with same amount)

it's my annual tradition to use porsche branded cleaner and conditioner. i find the quality to be excellent, even compared to the lexol and magwires (sp?). my seats, even after 4 yrs, look brand new. one container of cleaner and conditioner is enough for a cayenne, believe it or not. will continue to use every year. also, use both products for fine leather products such as leather jacket and my wife's expensive handbags.
