Dennison'sOriginal Chili Con Carne with Beans, 24 Count

This is seriously the best canned chili I've ever tasted. Actually, it's better than most of the home-made chili I've tried. The best part is that it's extremely thick; you could literally eat it with a fork.I grew up eating Dennison's, and I was extremely disappointed when I moved to Nebraska and couldn't find it here (even though the manufacturer, ConAgra, is headquartered here). Nothing else I've tried has even come close. But now Amazon offers it by mail, at a price that's comparable to other brands at the local supermarket, and with free shipping if you're a Prime member!This stuff makes great chili cheese burritos. Just heat the chili, then warm a flour tortilla in a non-stick frying pan. Put the tortilla on a plate, spread a spoon or two of chili in the middle, sprinkle some grated cheese, then wrap up the tortilla. Couldn't be easier. One can makes about 4-6 burritos, depending on how much chili you use.

We are originally from the West coast, and took this chili for granted. It was a common meal for our family. We have since moved to the Midwest and were shocked to learn that we couldn't find Dennison's anywhere. After much searching, we were able to have some shipped to us. It was like coming home. We all have a comfort food that elicits fond memories, and this simple can does it for my family. We are so pleased to have been able to enjoy it here in the Midwest. No other canned chili comes close to its taste. The price is what you would expect. We will definitely order again.

Great flavor, great mouth feel...it's all about the beans. I grew up eating Hormel chili...I still love it but I was glad to discover Dennison's. Creamier feel than Hormel and not quite as salty. Yeah, some of the cans arrived dented...so what. I'll order it again. Can't beat the price either.

I used to love Denison’s chili when I was younger I ate it a lot! Now on 6/22/2024 I have realized it has changed a lot 1) flavor is different it sucks and it is all liquid and no solids like beans and beef. Needless to say never again, I will never touch Denison’s chili again!!!

Dennison's has been my favorite Chili since I first ate it while visiting my sister in San Francisco over 20 years ago. Since it is not sold where I live, everytime I went to visit, I brought home a few cases or she brought some to me on her visits home. I was extremely happy to discover that Dennison's could be purchased online through Amazon. That being said, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the cans. I never buy dented cans at the supermarket but what I have received must be every damaged, dented, and smashed can that they had returned to them from supermarkets or was left over in their warehouse. To me this is deceptive and fraudulent method for them to unload their damaged products. They should have advertised this as a scratch, dent, & returned items and heavily discounted the price to reflect that and to allow the consumer to make an informed choice. Damaged canned foods run the risk of having the integrity of their seal broken and the possibility of contamination. Some of the cans are so badly damaged that they cannot be opened with a can opener. Hopefully, this is a one time event. I have ordered 3 more cases, so we shall see if they are all damaged product, also.

This is the best canned chili. We used to get in California, but it was nowhere to be found in the state of Washington. Glad Amazon had it, it so much better than Nallies or Hormel canned chili. Thought it was some what high, but it is as good as I remember it.

...use a spoon, you will want to get every last drop.This is the best chili in a can I have ever found. Not childishly sweet like most others. You "purists" can get it without beans also. If you don`t make your own, get this.

I bought the 24 pack because I like things in bulk quantity. This is basically two twelve packs in one box. By far this is the best canned chili out there. Probably not the most healthiest chili but it is damn good and filling. A good breakfast & one can of this chill later & I'm good for the day. I don't recommend eating this chili on a daily bases though.The price is great. Other idiots here on Amazon are trying to charge almost as much for a 6 pack of the same chili so $40 for a 24 pack is an OK deal. The shipping was a little slow for me & I used the prime shipping. Also some of the cans were dented. I think I got mine from an old batch because the expiration has about a year left & new cans should last at least two or three years longer than that.It took about 4 days & it was about a day later than its scheduled delivery date but its understandable because shipping can be crazy on the holidays. I hope they keep the 24 pack in stock & at this price. It sure beats going to Costco. Would rather wait at home for a few days for a 24 pack than wait in the long lines at Costco with two 12 packs.
