Always worked in this technique, from mirrors, to furniture. I apply both the gold leaves and Silver leaves on to art pieces. Not easy, they can fly away during application. Make sure your a/c or a fan is not directed or close to the work, there is no return, except picking the pieces andAdapting them to something on to else. Can be Interesting, fun and many times frustrating, but I love it!! The quality of these leaves are excellent. Will be ordering more Silver soon, I still have some of the gold.

I've only begun to use silver and gold gilt this year. I'm still getting used to it as the sheets are so thin, but it does add some glamor to my paintings. Very reasonably priced for the real precious metals.

I used the Genuine Silver Leaf Sheets to decorate a mirror frame. I purchased these primarily because they were listed as loose sheets and then for the cost. I needed just a couple more sheets to finish my project so I picked up a single pack of Martha Stewart brand at my local craft store. What a difference. Because my frame was highly detailed I preferred using the loose sheets so as to push the silver deep into the nooks and crannies. The Martha Stewart brand sheets have the silver leaf adhered to paper and must be firmly rubbed off to transfer the silver leaf. Needless to say unless your project is completely flat and smooth there is a lot of waste. Worth every penny ! And the results are a very shiny silver.

After completely redecorating our dining room our lard brown wood mirror was totally out of place with the silvers and blues of the new French style.Still it was a large and expendive to replace. So she used the silver leaf. It took about 6 hours but came out great!Next project is to add some highlights to the columns and ceiling medallion.Remember to buy the adhesive for leafing.Beautiful stuff if you’ve never used it!

OK, so... the product itself is lovely. Packaging good, the patent is easy to work with, metal has a consistent thickness. All good there.This stuff was a nightmare to get on the vellum. I tried gilder's garlic, fish glue, Pink Stuff, Instacol (sp?), and Speedball Mona Lisa adhesive. It did NOT want to stick. Once the proper blood sacrifices and curse-laden incantations were made to the Gilding Fairies, I got it to stick with fish glue it was fine. Seal it or it will tarnish in a few months. It tends to be brittle, so be careful not to use it on something that will do a lot of bending. Should be great for framed artwork or picture frames.

I purchased this silver foil for a fused glass project as the title states it is "Silver Leaf, aka Silver Foil". IT'S NOT!!!While the product shipped quickly, it is so thin and fragile it was almost impossible to apply to my glass. Any effort to move it once on my adhesive only caused it to tear. Once fired, it completely burned out. Not a bit of shimmer remained. This is too thin for glass fusing. It is NOT Silver FOIL, which is much thicker than Silver Leaf.I'm sure it would be great for gilding and the like, but if you are a Fuser, look for another product.

WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME BEING SURE OF PLACING THE SILVER LEAFS ON A GOLD MIRROR. IT TURNED OUT SO BEAUTIFULLY. WE TOOK OUR TIME AND WERE GENTLE IN PLACING THE LEAFS ON THE DECORATIVE PART OF THE MIRROR & WHEN FINISHED WE LET IT SIT FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN LIGHTLY SANDED IT ON SOME OF THE PLACES. IT WAS TOO SHINY AT FIRST, BUT NOW IT IS JUST GORGEOUS.
