Legacy Software for High End Windows 98 Machines
If you are not a collector of legacy software, than you will not really care about this software. This will NOT run on Windows XP or greater. If that was your intention, go google PSX emulation, and feel like a fool. Emulators of Original PSX software are simple and can be run on a PC, Laptop, PSP, XBOX, XBOX 360, DREAMCAST, etc etc etc... oh, did I mention FREE?Buying this software is realistic ONLY if you are running a REALLY NICE Win 98 rig... which is what? Like 5 people these days? If you are "lucky enough" to be using a machine such as this, there are updates found with a bit of searching, and some custom add ons as well.(or be daft enough to DOSbox a Win98 installation and figure out all the driver issues and.... yeah right :P)If you are a real geek, and love nerding out on history (in its time, this software's release was actually a big deal), then scoop it up as a conversation starter in your collection. If you are an average consumer, and wanted PSX on your PC, look into Google's many answers. Emulators are all free, and ROMs are easy to find (I use Underground Gamer)Don't review a program you didn't understand enough to use. It is not the software that isn't working, your computer cannot read the files. 32bit took over 10 years ago, get over it :P

Bleem for PC or Bleem for Dreamcast?
Most of you should know that you can play PlayStation games on your PC with software like Bleem. But did you know that Bleem will release its new software that will allow you to play PlayStation games on Dreamcast with much improved graphics and sound. Recently, I have sent in my questions concerning Bleemcast, and I received their replies within a few hours.Q: I wonder which one of them will give me the best graphics, is it Bleem for PC or is it Bleem for Dreamcast? My computer is equipped with Pentium II 233 MHz CPU, 32mb TNT2 video card, and 128mb RAM.A: Well, bleem! for the PC has the potential to have the best graphics. If you were to upgrade to a very high-end CPU, with a good motherboard, and GeForce 2 GTS video card, the graphics would probably be slightly better than on bleem! for Dreamcast. And, with a Sound Blaster Live! or Aureal Vortex2 sound card, the sound quality will probably be about the same as with the Dreamcast. With the system that you list, bleem! for Dreamcast will definitely have higher-quality graphics, than bleem! would. However, remember that PC's are easily upgraded, and within a few months will probably be capable of quite a bit better graphics than the Dreamcast. Both bleem! and bleem! for Dreamcast are a LOT higher quality in terms of graphics than the games being played on a PlayStation. The same goes for PlayStation games being played on the PlayStation 2, since the PlayStation 2 hardly improves the graphics at all. The actual PlayStation 2 games, for the most part, will look better than PlayStation games, no matter how much enhanced they are. Because PS2 games will be directly programmed to use more polygons, smoother textures, etc. However, there is a couple other things to consider when comparing bleem! to bleem! for Dreamcast. Each pak for bleem! for Dreamcast will support 100 games, and will not be able to play any games but those 100. All of those 100 will be fully supported, with no problems (Other than those that are in the game itself, of course). On the other hand, bleem! allows you to try any of the more than 3000 PlayStation games that have been released in the past 6 years, as long as we have not already tested the game, and knew it to not be supported. However, only some of those are fully supported. Some have flaws, and some are not playable at all in bleem! So, if you would prefer to at least have the possibility at more games, and the ability to upgrade your graphics, bleem! is the better choice. If you'd rather have the best graphics at this time, and have completely supported games, bleem! for Dreamcast is the better choice.Q: Although I have never tried Bleem on PC, from the look of your game list there are very few games that run 100% smoothly on PC. So I wonder what will happen with the new Bleemcast?A: I'm not sure what makes you think very few that run at perfect performance. Of the 1069 games on the list, 359 of them are fully supported (More than a third of them), and 369 are partially supported. That means that less than third are not supported! However, to answer your question about bleem! for Dreamcast, there will be no partially supported games. All the games on each pak will be fully tested to make sure they have no flaws. If we cannot fix the flaws that are there, it will not be included on that pak.Q: Can you please make the later version of Bleemcast to support Space Battleship Yamato and Space Battleship Yamato 2 in the near future?A: Well, at this time, we are only planning on including games that have a US version in the first 4 bleem! for Dreamcast paks. We do however, plan on releasing paks in the future that will include games that are popular in other regions!bleem!QUESTIONS - [...] To: <[email protected]>

Too old to use
this software is too old to be of any use. Not compatible with Windows 10.Also modern CPUs will not work. Just use RetroArch or Mednafen.

Please......just buy a PS2 for goodness shakes
I have a PCI video card so the graphics that I get from Bleem is not as good as I'd expected. So if you have an older computer like I do, you're not going to get fantastic graphics.A second problem with the Bleem is that is often stalls when you try to open it from the Start menu.A third problem it that it is not compatible with every PS1 game.My advice is to get a PS2 system. You'll get superb graphics and you can play all of the old PS1 games on it.Or buy a monitor adaptor for the Sega Dreamcast. There is a very cheap external adaptor plug that converts the video signal of a Dreamcast into a signal that is directed to a computer monitor. This way, you can play 124 bit games while you are at the office. Games like Berserk and Soul Calibur look great on a monitor!!!!
