Awesome but envied by others
Anything Lansky makes and sales is always top-notch. I bought this not realizing it was made of plastic. I was totally fixated on the price. My fault. But as a letter opener, it's the coolest. Actually, it's almost too cool. Everyone who sees it will try to swipe it from you. I've started hiding it from my pen cups. It's a treasure I don't want to have to hunt down again.

It's only half a knife
Completely flat on one side, like a knife cut in half lengthwise. Which makes t very uncomfortable to hold.

Great tool simple and effective
Excellent tool for what it is, good letter opener. The tool when used is made to be used for stabbing. I would consider it to be a single use tool, keeping that in mind it works well that way.

Takes me back to my youth when we used to go to gun shows and they had this on their tables

I actually returned this item (see headline). The review is for anyone considering the purchase. Product is one sided with plastic flashing along the edges; a letter opener may be a better option.

Kunststoff ist meiner nach Meinung zu weich. Das reicht wirklich nur zum Briefe öffnen und Paketklebebänder durchtrennen. Als Notfallmesser ungeeignet. Ich würde es nicht wieder kaufen.

Questo è un tagliacarte in plastica rigida. Piatto da un lato e a forma di coltello / pugnale a doppia lama dall'altro (vedi foto prodotto). La descrizione può essere fuorviante: questo NON è un coltello per allenamento di arti marziali, in quanto il materiale è rigido. E' a tutti gli effetti un tagliacarte che apre con successo buste, cartone e scotch da pacchi rinforzato.
