This totally does the job!
I don't have very much to say about this thing. It does what it needs to do and makes your headphones more flexible since it can now use a standard cord vs Sennheiser's custom cord. Had this thing for a few months and haven't ever really had an issue other than it being hard to really secure because of the port on the headphones themselves being hard to latch in. Recommend this!

Works with the Sennheiser HD599
You need to get it at a angle. As the keying has to align the right way. And, you have to apply some force all the way through or you get some sound only in 1 ear. Otherwise it works with the Sennheiser 599 perfectly fine without having to mod.

Sennheiser to v-moda boom pro
Allows my sennheiser 560 S to work with the v-moda boom pro. This converts the locking 2.5mm port to a 3.5mm female port so my sennheiser can act as a headset. Works well on day 1. I will update my review if it stops working or I have problems, but so far it works exactly how I want it to. Update: still great

Expensive product of cheap quality and terrible customer support
I was hesitant to buy this product because $18.49 seems like an awful lot for a simple adapter. But "buy nice or buy twice," right? I thought that at least the price meant that the product would be made robustly with quality materials. And it worked perfectly—for just over a month. Then I started losing sound in one side of my headphones. Checked the headphones, checked the cable, and confirmed that the problem is with this adapter plug. And this is just with normal use, no pulling or jerking at the plug. I thought, that's okay, products can have defects; I'll get it replaced. But unfortunately I was just outside the window of accepted returns on Amazon for this product (one month). So, I did as you would probably do, and I emailed KOKKIA and asked to exchange or a refund. It's been several days now, and I haven't heard anything back despite their guaranteed 48 hour response. I'm not typically a review kind of person, but I was so unimpressed that I had to warn others. It's an expensive product of cheap quality, and there is terrible customer support. I will be avoiding KOKKIA in the future, and my advice would be for you to do the same.

Works with Sennheiser 598s!
The adapter fits perfectly with my 598s, and the sound is pretty clear and stable when I move around unlike other adapters. The first time that I purchased it, audio was only coming through the left ear. I was pretty disappointed and returned it. Thinking that the first one was probably a defective part, I decided to give them a second chance and order another adapter, and I'm glad that I did! I'm giving 4 stars only because the first adapter was defective. Otherwise, the second one I ordered works perfectly.

works with my Sennheisers + vmoda boompro mic
I'm glad this adapter exists! The adapter works fine with the vmoda boompro mic and my Sennheiser headphones. It is a little difficult to push in all the way in but it will snap/click-in with a little pressure. Just be careful when you're pulling it out from the headphones because there is a little resistance.

Good for stennhesier headphones
Connected to stennhesier headphones with v moda pro for gaming and it works well. Makes the mic a little long, hangs lower than ideal now but still very cable. This is the smallest adapter I have found

Works until it dies. Female contacts are very loose.
I purchased in March, and it was dead by December. The first cable I tried using had a loose connection, so I swapped it out and it worked fine for about 6 months until I swapped out again, lasting another 3 months. But now it's finally useless, as the left audio contact no longer works. I'm not convinced I want to spend another $20 (or maybe $20 yearly?!) on hardware that shouldn't be so faulty.

Perfetto

Works on the ATH-M40x along with the V-Moda boom pro mic
Needed a microphone for my ATH-M40x only to realise that the headphones have a locking mechanism that makes it hard to just buy any sort of mic, this adapter worked without any fuss.

Broke immmediately - Avoid
There is an outer casing on this that detached itself from the rest of the adapter as soon as I tried to remove it from my Audio Technica Headphones ATH-M40X. It is now stuck in the headphones. When I try to unlock it, there are some scratching sounds which I assume is the outer casing free-spinning but I am worried this could damage the headphones.

Sirve bien!
