The Silo Series Boxed Set: Wool, Shift, Dust, and Silo Stories Paperback – 20 Oct. 2020

The Silo series is a lot of fun to read and has some great character development. This particular box set has well-designed spines and are nice softcover paperbacks.

Well worth it.

Too soon to have read them yet but if they are anything like the TV series I am going to be enthralled.

I first read these books a few years ago, around the start of all the hype. I had to know why a book called 'Wool', masquerading as sci-fi, could possibly be climbing the charts. I downloaded it, and read it... and sat there, gasping. The story had hit me so powerfully, I had to take a moment. A few moments...And then I jumped online and bought all the rest of the books, reading them back to back over a couple of days, before immediately ordering a full set of paperbacks. I told everyone I knew about it - even people who hate sci-fi...The dark, brooding world inside the silo came across so well, the characters struggled to find a glimmer of hope in their bleak lives, and twists so monumental that I literally had to stop reading and put my kindle down while I processed them!All in all, a fantastic tale, an incredibly vivid picture of hope in the darkness, and a plot that will keep the book glued to your hand. Buy it because it's pretty. Read it at your own risk - and then join the legions of fans who JUST WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT IT!I even went on to write some sci-fi myself, inspired in large part by this incredible piece of work (is that the book, or its author? You decide...)And best of all? There's still time to grab this set and read it all before the TV series comes out. That way you can be one of those helpful people who points out all the easter eggs to your friends while they're trying to watch it...Do it. You know you want to!

The box came dented and slightly bowed inwards, and the books were full of little dents and scratches. The paperback is not printed with any sort of quality, and is incredibly flimsy. However, saying that, there is no issue that has stopped me from enjoying the books. I wouldn't recommend it as a gift if you wanted to impress, but if all you care about is the content of the book, then it does just fine.

Got as gift and it's not suitable.Belived the price reflected quality. NO!it's been cut wonky
