25VA DC 5V Linear Power Supply Audiophile,Desktop Power Adapter Regulate 5 Volt 3A 4A for Raspberry pi 3 Model A+ B B+ LPS

Used to power an RPI streamer setup. Quiet, no hum while powering my DAC. Stable enough for my purposes. Very well made, working like a charm for months now. Never gets above 120F. I couldn't be happier and the price is nice compared to alternatives.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this to power my Wiim Pro streamer in my reference 2 channel system. Right out of the gate it made an audible difference and really brought a lot more weight to the sound as well as improved sounstage and imaging. However, the voltage fluctuates from 5.07 to 5.11 and then randomly drops to 3.50. The Wiim has not shut off yet and I have not confirmed if the display is accurate to the actual output and will need to do so. I would like this to stay in my system but will likely be returning/exchanging for another one to see if the issue is specific to this unit or all of them. Side note, the barrel plug is actually a 5.5x2.5 not a 5.5x2.1 as stated in the specs.

The media could not be loaded. Mine was defective on arrival The voltage display kept flashing all kinds of different crazy numbers like it was possessed by an alien.

I'm using this to power a Wiim Pro and a Topping E50 DAC. Both seemed to improve in performance compared to a wall wart. Deep bass increased and the image firmed up a bit. I adjusted the voltage to read 5.00 volts, and it stays there. I would recommend it for this use.

Poor, poor quality unit. Not only was mine registering extremely high voltage, the back plate was installed poorly. So poorly that it was crushing the set screw which made it impossible to turn. Returning for refund. What a rip for$80+.Replacement UPDATE: I decided to give this unit another go and so far, the replacement is working fine. It fluctuates between 5.1 and 5.12 but I have yet to adjust the set screw. I'm using it to power a pair of media converters for my fiber optic LAN. Figured I would update my 1-star review.

Excellent product support as well! The seller gets back to you very fast. I purchased two of them. Disassembled the top lid and the internals are very nice. Phillips and UCC electrolytic capacitors in mine, not sure about the film caps. Look like Kemet. Nice transformer.Using this with a Raspberry Pie 3 and 4. Both have a HiFiBerry DAC + pro. Previously I was using a few different basic switch power supplies as well as a battery pack. This made a nice difference! Very happy with it.Amazon item B07MPS3QD8 worked well to let me terminate the 5.5mm x 2.1mm end connector to another cable.As stated the voltage reading on the front of the unit is inaccurate but big deal, the voltage when connected to a meter rests perfectly. I was easily able to dial up the voltage to 5.1v DC which is what the Raspberry Pi likes. No low voltage warnings when running RetroPie either!

Unit seems very good. Voltage adjustment worked great and unit holds its voltage well. I have not had to re-adjust since I set it. I an using it to power 2 FMC’s for fiber optic cable extension. Sound quality much better compared to the stock wall plugs. 2 issues I have experienced are the plug size for the DC input plugs are 5.5x2.5 NOT 2.1 as listed and the AC cord included is poor quality. The loose female plug end continuously disconnects. I upgraded to a better quality power cord and it works fine.

This is a dangerous item. Instead of 5V, this item produced 14V and destroyed the attached equipment it was supposed to power. This is really unacceptable and the vendor should be banned from Amazon.
