Broken tip during shipping
Great rod and reel but you need to just order reel because mine came in with a broken tip.I fixed mine instead of aggravating with returning it.

Broken in box
Don’t buy this. Mine was broken. Amazon warns you for a reason that this will need to be returned. I contacted Lews to let them know that whatever is going on here is tainting their name. I have 8 Lews bass rods all sizes & types and I wanted a quick ultra light for my wife and I took a chance.

Just got it in the mail and I was shocked that it wasn't broke after reading all the reviews. It's a nice little rod, super light weight. I'm sure it will work great for trout. I would give this combo 5 stars in a heart beat for the price but their is one thing missing from the rod. It came without a hook keeper!?!? I get that this is a budget combo but come one Lews! Really. No hook keeper! In the grand scheme of things it would probably cost Lews like 3 cents to put a hook keeper on this rod. Just can't believe at any price point they would skip out on this. Unreal. Anyhow, I put a zip tie on the rod where the keeper should be. It'll work till I tie one on. All in all it's a great combo for the money.

Slick little rod
Just a really nice ultralight. Paired it with 4lb mono and you can feel every little bite. The reel is super smooth and the drag system works flawlessly.
