UPDATE: After using this for a few days, we have noticed a marked slowing/reduction in water pressure through the water dispenser. Thus, I reduced the rating from five stars to one. The flow rate is SO very slow that even filling a glass of water seems like an eternity! We tossed this filter. It is unusable.**********This filter easily installed in my LG refrigerator. The filter is distributed by Whirlpool, which gives me more confidence in the brand. It is NSF tested and certified.After installing, it states that you should run 4 gallons of water through it. Most filters only require 2 or 3 gallons (the LG filter specified 2.5 gallons). 4 gallons through the fridge dispenser...it takes a long time!The water in my area is fairly good, so I don't have many issues. However, the filter does reduce the chlorine smell that sometimes permeates. Otherwise, I feel good knowing that I'm removing some of the potential contaminants that could be coming through city water.This is a good, economical substitute for a genuine LG filter.

This is a good replacement my Kenmore OEM filter R-9690. It supposedly removes 71% of the chlorine and 99.7% of the lead. I'm fortunate. That's pretty impressive to me. Other than the usual chlorine, my city has pretty good tap water, except for low (supposedly safe) levels of heavy metals present in the ground that comes from a long-closed electronics plant that has not yet been cleaned up. Unfortunately, the Everydrop company's data sheet for this filter makes no mention of any contaminants other than lead and chlorine, so I have to assume that this particular filter does not eliminate other impurities, or at least that it has not been tested for substances other than chlorine and lead. In general, I avoid drinking or cooking with unfiltered tap water, regardless of the city's "Annual Drinking Water Quality Report." Bottom line: This filter should be more than sufficient for my needs. I give it four stars instead of five because of the limited information on filtered contaminants.

I have an LG refrigerator that requires an LG LT700P water filter and I replace it every 6 months. (If I don't replace it my refrigerator nags me until I do). This particular filter fits well and works fine. However the specs indicate that it only filters some of the impurities that are filtered by many other water filters I have used so I would say that this is a very basic filter. My cities water actually is clean and tastes goo without filtering and I did not notice any change when using this filter.

I notice no difference between this filter and the high priced filters I was using. They last just as long and there is no difference in the taste of the water.An great option and excellent value.

This fit perfectly in my LG refrigerator and I can’t taste a difference between it and the much more expensive filter from LG.

This is a perfect fit for my LG French door LT700 fridge.The change out and inserting was too easy!

Good quality replacement. Fit perfectly didnt have any problems installing it. Water and ice taste great.
