Motion Pro 08-0275 Green 43mm Fork Seal Bullet Set

I tried wrapping the top of the fork with electrical tape, and the seal started leaking right away. I went ahead and bit the bullet (bought the bullet)...yeah, my wife hates my puns too. This made installing the new seals easy and I have no leaks after a year. If you are planning on doing your own fork seals, get one.

I've done fork seal replacements in the past without one of these without issue. As far as I'm concerned, I was pushing my luck. Using this tool insures the seal and wiper are not damaged when putting them on the slider. Such insurance is pretty worth while when you consider the amount of work required if damage dies occur and isn't noticed until the forks are reinstalled on the bike.Well worth the small price for the piece if mind.

This is so simple I wish I would’ve thought of this idea 35 years ago, makes it much simpler and safer to install for sales damage free.

Really hard to get the seal over this thing, even with lube. I had to use excessive force to get my seal over this tool. After hours of cleaning parts and carefully disassembling fork etc, I want that new seal protected, babied and to go in correctly, so I don't have to do this job again. Next time I will just use plastic grocery bag or other sheet plastic. Even the service manual shows just using plastic. And all the youtube diy vids did not use a tool like this.

My forks on 05 R6 went back together just fine without this. I saw no need for this, a plastic bag, or anything else. I also reversed the order of installing the seal. Putting it in the outer fork first, pushing it into place, and then putting the inner tube into seal and outer. Of course this way you _cannot_ use this bullet or a bag, as you wouldn't be able to remove it afterwards.

Easy to use, came right off despite everything I read about people having to cut theirs off??

Quality, easy solution for getting seals over fork legs w/o tearing them. MAKE SURE to get the right size for your fork tubes, though!
