ShineBright Incandescent 5-Watt, Candelabra Based, Blacklight Bulb

These lights do not emit "black light" (i.e. typical glowing of white clothes and fluorescent colors). These are just clear bulbs painted purple-black. Seriously mislabeled. Should not be sold. Waste of money and time.

Very low wattage. We purchased this to place in a 1-gallon fish tank for glo fish. You couldn't even see that the light was on even when lights in the room were off. I even tried putting it in a night light to see if it would give off a cool effect in my son's room at night and there is a very dim glo, but even too dim to be a night light. I was very disappointed and would have returned it, but the shipping to return cost more than the actual lights.

Very Disappointed With The Product Too Dim Not Even A "Black Light" Not Worth Buying.

I got these to put in my chandelier for a black light room. They are only 5-Watts, so they did not give off much light at all! I wish they were a little bit brighter.

We got these to put in a night light so a stray scorpion would be easy to see. They do not put out any light to speak of.

Serves its purpose

This is not a blacklight bulb! It's a light bulb painted with a dark purple paint to look like a blacklight (UV-A) bulb. It should be taken off Amazon or have disclaimers in big bold letters prominently displayed near the picture of the bulbs.

These are very dim. I am really having a hard time trying to find a practical use for these since they were insufficient outdoors even when used 3 at a time. I should have heeded the warnings of the other reviewers.
