Works Great, Easy Install
I am testing out some motion sensor switch options in a facility and decided to give this one a try in a bathroom. It works very well as the video shows. Installation is pretty easy for this type of thing. Just make sure that you do not have a shallow outlet box, or this unit may not fit. Also, be sure to turn off power at the breaker before install! Gotta be safe, you know. Aesthetically, it looks pretty good on the wall. Sensitivity and timer adjustments behind the front plate let you easily dial in the settings to your preference. Light level is not negatively affected by using this. The unit appears to be made well and should last for the foreseeable future. NOTE: This does not come with a wall plate or wire nuts/WAGO connectors, so you may need to get those separately. All in all, a good investment to help cut power costs!

Perfect for the attached garage!
This is the 2nd motion sensor switch I've purchased and installed in the last 7 years. The old switch just decided to stop working a couple months ago, so I got this as a replacement. This motion sensor switch is perfect in my attached garage. The light switch in my garage is in the most awkward spot. It's 2 feet away from the door opening and down 2 steps. Not something you want to try and find when it's pitch black and you can't see a thing! Instead of risking my life to go into my garage of darkness, I installed this motion sensor switch. It's great! The light comes on whenever I open the door and I never have to remember to turn it off. You simply set the length of time you want the light to stay on (15 seconds to 30 minutes) and you're good to go. The light also comes on as I drive my car into the garage so there is plenty of light for me to see when I get out of my car. You can also override the automatic settings if you need the light longer than your standard settings. You just slide the switch from Auto to Manual. Just remember to change it back or the light will be left on all day and night! I live in MN so we have pretty extreme temperatures (below zero to hot/humid) and this switch has worked well in all conditions. It can be a little slow in the subzero temps in the winter, but I haven't noticed any major issues aside from that. Like another reviewer said, the instructions say that it needs a NEUTRAL wire. Make sure you have a neutral wire in the box where this will be installed or this switch won't work for you. It took about 10 minutes to install and a minute or two to adjust the sensor settings.

Great Auto Light Switch with Manual Override
APPLICATION: Home Theater Hallway Entrance Automatic Occupancy Switch with Manual Override USE CASE: Automatically turns on the lights when entering the room allowing enough time to get settled before turning the lights off (I set it to 1min duration). I applied white electrical tape over a portion of the sensor so that it does not turn on the lights when passing this hallway without entering the room. WHY THIS TYPE OF SWITCH: I selected this specific switch because I can quickly turn off the switch when getting up to leave the room so that I don't disturb others who are adjusted to the dim lighting. This switch will permanently stay off until its manually switched back into auto mode. Similarly, if I am entertaining without watching a movie I can set it to keep the lights on, even when no motion is sensed in the hallway. THE GOOD: Works great with any kind of lighting (CFL, LED, Incandescent). The Leviton PR150-1LW Motion Sensing Light Switch that this was modeled after will cause many LED lights to flicker in the automatic setting mode, so I am replacing all of these in my house with the TOPGREENER version. I could not find any name brand (Leviton or Luxtron) switches with manual override control that also work with any lighting. THE BAD: The industrial design is a little bulky ugly. The passive IR sensor protrudes from the wall giving it good 180deg visibility, but it doesn't look as modern and nice as the Lutron Maestro MS-OPS Motion Sensing Lightswitches that I use for high traffic areas or locations where I want reliable automatic control without any manual override. I am not familiar with the TOPGREENER brand. However the quality seems good. NOTE: I am trying to go paper free and eliminate all printed manuals. TOPGREENER does not appear to post any PDF manuals on their website, so I am going to attach scanned copies of their paper manual with this review. I am uploading PNG files as Amazon does not allow me to attach a PDF.

Good sensor, poor timer
Overall good motion sensor that works well. This company saved money by not incorporating a digital timer. Unfortunately they used a very cheap rheostat. It is impossible to set less than 9 mins and 45 seconds but more than 10 seconds on the two units I have. Not good for adjusting time. Wires are well labeled and it was an easy install. Fit perfect with the Decor wall cover.

Excellent Switch at Very Good Price Point
I purchased two of these switches for a high-end spec home. I selected these switches because they offer the most value and benefits at very reasonable price. Building a luxury level property requires so many selections and controls in today’s world can get very expensive. All the main switches in these home are smart switches, however, in bathrooms and powder rooms, there are so many controls now, that I try to make the fan/light switch easy; and this one is actually on the simple side. Here is the basic overview of features: 1. PIR will turn on the light when some walks into the room AND you can turn this feature off if you don’t want it. 2 You can set the timers easily with a turn of a hidden dial for duration of light and fan. 3. The intermittent fan feature is nice. The switch has nice overall shape, is simple looking with just two icon labeled buttons, and is solid white. The light is bright, but since we have so many other lights in our bathrooms, this light will be rarely used, which is good for us because the color temperature of the LED is on the cooler side, I’m guessing about 3500+. Lastly, all the wires are clearly labeled on the back of the switch and they are all long and flexible enough to make stuffing this switch back into the switch box somewhat easier (all multifunction switches are bigger and boxier).

Lagging switch
The motion sensor does not respond consistently. Sometimes it would respond quickly, and sometimes it would lag and delay for a second or less. I would rather pay a few bucks more to get something more reliable, like a Lutron or Levitron switch, from the big box store that stands behind its product. I wouldn't recommend this, as reliability is in question.

Used to Be Great, Timer Issues for New Units?
I have six of these motion sensors installed and used daily. My first order (a 2-pack from 2019) worked flawlessly in the garage — walk in, lights come on, no one leaves them on forever, and they shut off 5 minutes later like magic, and the second went in the utility/laundry room - nothing like walking into the laundry room with arms full and not having to worry about the lights. I liked them so much I ordered a 4-pack later to use in bathrooms (connect lights/fans together) and a storage room, and gave a couple to my brother. They installed easily, worked well, and were priced right. Unfortunately, I bought a single in January 2025 didn’t hold up. The time dial was super finicky - it would only give me either 30 seconds or something like 8 minutes, but nothing in between. I returned it and got a replacement, but it had the exact same problem. Started to wonder if there are quality issues on the newer units. Eventually I gave up and switched brands. Changing brands turned out to be helpful though, I realized I actually prefer models with a simple push button instead of the “on/off/motion” slide switch. Visitors often try to turn off the light manually, which defeats the whole point of having a motion sensor (however kiddos can't seem to turn off light switches at all, which is really what spurred the motion switch purchase in the first place). With a button model, it just shuts off temporarily but resets back to motion mode. Also not a fan of the dial-based timer. When you're aiming for something like 2.5 minutes, it’s a pain to sit there with a stopwatch outside the sensor range trying to dial it in. Weirdly, getting the timing just right took longer than the actual install (the install btw is super easy and instructions / labeling on the back of the unit is really clear, props for that). This would’ve been an easy 4 stars based on past performance, but the quality issues with newer units bring it down to a 3.

Nice piece of technology. Easy to install.
I have had an occupancy sensor controlling a small exhaust fan in our downstairs half bath for many years. Someone enters the room, and the fan comes on automatically. Once the person leaves, it continues running for about 3 minutes, then shuts off. The problem was that the only sensors available at the time would control only resistance loads like incandescent lights. Since a fan is an inductive load, it would not work. So, I had to rig up a small light (about 10 watts) in the basement that would be activated. Once activated, I picked up the voltage to the light and used it to activate a mechanical relay. The relay in turn, would then supply power to the exhaust fan. This device allowed me to eliminate all that extra wiring, the incandescent bulb and the relay, as it will control the fan directly. Actually, this unit should be good to control any type of load, inductive or resistance, so long as the total current draw does not exceed the device's rating. It is able to do this, because the device incorporates its own internal relay. In fact, when the unit is activated, you will notice that there is a noticeable audible clicking sound. Because of this, this device should be good for incandescent lights, fluorescent tubes, compact florescents, and led bulbs, as well as anything with a small motor--- again, so long as you don't overload it past its current rating. So, if in the past you tried to wire one of these up and discovered that it wouldn't control your fluorescent lights for example, this one will, and it seems to work quite well.

So far, it’s a great motion sensor.
The sensor works perfectly, and having the dials for customizing the sensitivity, length of time it’s on, and whether it detects ambient light made this an ideal sensor. There are probably other options, but I can say the one I received works as I hoped.
