PERFECT FOR GUYS WITH BIG FEET!
I selected this scale after Consumer Reports described Escali as one of the most accurate brands and best values in the scale marketplace. My shoe size is 13, so my feet rarely fit cleanly on household scales. The fit problem produces inconsistent and inaccurate weight calculations because my feet rarely hit the sensors in the same spot from reading to reading. This scale solves that problem because my feet easily fit on the black pads. The results are always consistent, and I love the "instant on" feature, as well the "hold" feature which lets me look at my weight (and photograph it if I am proud) after I have stepped off of the scale. I also like that the readings can be delivered in pounds, kilograms, or stones. This scale is good-looking, effortless to use, great quality, and a killer price. Now that I understand the value proposition of this scale, I gladly would have paid $80 for it. I am so glad that Consumer Reports made me aware of the Escali brand.

IT WORKS
After months of our old scale giving a different weight EVERY time you stand on it...even if it was b2b, we finally broke down and bought this one on a recommendation from one of our neighbors. I love it. It is accurate, gives the same weight every time..even b2b2b2b. It's a sleek design with a low profile and...our neighbor has had theirs for sometime now and it still works beautifully. Great value for the price.

Sadly, it's inaccurate
At first I was thrilled. The scale looks beautiful and is comfortable to stand on. You put in the included batteries (3 - AAA's) and you're good to go, supposedly. The digital readout is easy to see. There is NO power switch or on and off switch. The scale activates automatically when you step on it and turns off when you step off. Supposedly stepping on and off the scale is how you calibrate it. (And of course, it needs to be used on a flat floor, not carpeting.)Sadly, though, the scale is inaccurate. My weight reads lower on this scale than on my other scales. To check to see which scale is accurate and which is not (I have 3 scales), I got off the new Escali scale, waited a moment, and then placed a 5-lb free weight on it. At first there was no reading at all. This happened several times. Then I got on and off again, and the moment I was off, I tried putting the 5-lb weight back on. Rather than showing 5 lbs., the scale read 4.4 pounds. This happened multiple times, the weight reading at only 4.4 lbs.So I'm bummed! I really wanted to like this scale! But my analog bathroom scale is more accurate, so I'll have to face the music and see that I actually weigh more than the Escali scale says I do. I'll have to return this scale. No amount of stepping on and off the scale seems to "calibrate" it correctly. Again, no reset button or power switch. The back has the battery compartment but nothing else.

Sturdy and accurate...easy to read. UPDATE!
I purchased 3 scales...just wanted 1 good one...first 2 were awful, cheaply made, and actually ugly... I was wanting a scale that was reliable having 2 pups...wanted to be sure of weight due to heart worm meds...flea preventative as well. Both are bordering on dosage so wanted to keep an eye on weight and fluctuation.Just had my female at the vet yesterday and was able to verify weight when this scale arrived today. Other 2 scales were all over the place with weight. This scale was consistent, but MAKE SURE SCALE PLACED ON TILE NOT CARPET. Initially on carpet weight was all over the place..on tile consistent with vet weight. Also this scale is beautiful as well as sturdy and not flimsy like other 2 I tried. This is metal...Did NOT want tempered glass they shatter.UPDATE: 2 years working well! Love this scale. Necessity when weighing dogs for meds.

Good scale and easy to read
There was only one time so far that the readout wouldn’t turn on. It might be because I had just wiped it clean with microfiber cloth and tricked it up sensing mild pressure but no body weight. Scale reads in .2 increments. We weighed ourselves daily for overa week to check if it seemed to be working well and it does seem to work well. It shows weight / settles on a weight pretty quickly after you stand on it; locks the weight in place so you can look without it fluctuating. & it’s best to not touch the wall for balance when you are getting in the scale, as it changes the accuracy. I like the stainless surface because seeing reviews on other glass scales that have shattered - was scary to me. I am not sure, but this one might be glass under the stainless? If it is, at least my feet are on the stainless steel plate if it were to break for some reason. Feels safer that way. It shows the weight for a couple seconds after you get off too so there’s time to look after stepping off. I wish there was a place to adjust the weight to calibrate it to a doctors office scale, but there’s not.

Just ok
I love the scale but it requires 6 batteries and they die very quickly

This bathroom scale is the one to buy!!!
Dear Reader! If you are not sure which product to buy, listen up, this is the one! You just step onto the scale - it wakes up and starts its process of measurement - no foot taps are needed to turn it on. I'm not sure how accurate it is, as I don't keep a 200# weight standard laying around the house, but the "repeatability" is awesome. The scale displays your weight, you get off the scale and step back on and magic, you get the same reading again after it does its "successive approximation" calculation.I then went into the kitchen and weighted an almost gallon of water on my Escali brand (11# max) kitchen scale, the weight was exactly 8#, the kitchen scale's resolution is to a tenth of an ounce. Stepped back on the bath scale with the jug of water and magic - the display was now 220.4#, exactly 8# greater than the 212.4# a moment earlier.Another plus is the 4 batteries, their size is AAA and are included. The large display has a brightly lit light-blue background, making it very easy to read. Buy it - you'll like it!!!
