This is the definitive book about Don Nichols and the innovative Shadow Can-Am cars. These were just about the fastest race cars in the world at the time and very innovative. You can almost hear the V8’s bristling with fuel injection stacks like some raucous mechanical porcupine behind the driver. They were beautiful too a Shadow taking Best of Show for Competition Cars at Amelia Island in 2021. A huge and important reference too for those interested in Can-Am and modern-day big bore Vintage racing. F1 and F5000 also covered as well. Highly recommended.🏁

Very well written book with in depth information with race results.

You still see the cars at vintage races. The book brings back memories. Not a golden age with Revsons crash, but the book puts you inside the events. It is a welcome addition to Pete Lyons Can Am book.

These handmade cars, which competed and WON Formula 1 Grands Prix are once-in-a-lifetime.

Great informative book on a very interesting race team owner and team. A ton of great pictures and in depth stories on all the main contributors including the drivers.

The book is written by an author that was there when Shadow took on the world. It is filled with interviews from many that were involved over the decade of hits and misses when Shadow contested top level race series. Worth the price.
