Magic Mike XXL (Blu-ray)

Really great movie. For my wife. She rented this for 24 hours and watched it three (that's 3) times. For myself, I spent the time stripping. Stripping the paint off of my shed and repainting it. I also had to scoop up after the dog. A good time had by all.

If you like beefcakes dancing, you will love this movie. Not much of a plot, and the dialogue is shallow, but the dancing is amazing and fun. I caught myself smiling through all the routines. One in particular, Channing does a mirror dance with another dancer, it is so synchronized and perfect, they did not miss a step. I highly recommend this movie for those who want to spend some mindless time to clear the cobwebs out after a busy workweek. At least that was MY escape.

I love this movie because it has some diversity. I saw some of the original magic Mike on TV and I did not get why it was a big deal. I watch this one, and like the story line,choreography, and the characters. There were some really humorous parts in the movie so I decided to watch the first one, but that was Ok for me. Magic Mike XXL was good so I decided to buy it.

This movie is... surprising. On the surface it’s a movie about male strippers. I’m 100% sure that’s all the filmmakers intended it to be. An entertaining movie about male strippers.Under the surface it’s surprisingly forward thinking. Many of the actors, and some characters, are in the LGBT community and the subject is treated with respect. They handle the subject of aging well. They’re pretty respectful of women in general. Powerful people of color and women are portrayed. And they all have a healthy male friendship. It’s kinda wild seeing that in a movie about male entertainers.But... if you’re looking for a movie where hot guys dance to early 2000s - semi modern hits this is the one. It’s kind of long and more drawn out than it needs to be, but love the cast and it’s pretty good entertainment.

Don't listen to anyone else. Magic Mike XXL is the bomb, and this one is better than the first for one reason and one reason alone: Jada Pinkett Smith. Channing Tatum owes JPS 5evr because XXL is nothing without her. That liquid walk, that growl, her casual authority when she insists that the men take care of the queens. Please MC my life, JPS.The little piece of fluff trying to step to Tatum is out of her league.Thank goodness they found some more men who can seriously dance for this one. The moves are hawt.Donald Glover is a delight from those puppy dog eyes to those dimples to those skinny abs. Andie MacDowell is pitch-perfect as a sarcastic wealthy Southern divorcée, and Elizabeth Banks seems perfectly at home heading up the convention, her performance a little bubblegum pop of flavor. The crew get to have some personality finally, and their affection for each other makes XXL warmer and sweeter than the original. (I want to say "Parev!" to my compatriot, Big Dick Richie.)While I appreciated the undercurrent of economic desperation fueling the escapism offered in Dallas' club in the first movie, that theme never matured enough to take it seriously. This movie doesn't even try to be serious--the comeback is such a hoary cliché--but its insistent message that every woman, regardless of age, size, or appearance, is deserving of male attentiveness and her own pleasure seems radical in the Tinder age. So does its devotion to male friendship and its openness about steady male platonic love--so different from the more giddy bromances.In short: two thumbs up, would tap that thing again, and again, and again.

So much better than the original. Actually has a plot and isn’t cheesy. My favorite part is Jada Pinkett at the end. I’m full on hetero but I would consider a change in that status for that character hahaha

Definitely an fantastic girls night movie

Loved this movie, so glad I bought it. The story line was 1000x better than the first movie, the dancing is still great, the men look fantastic. Trust me ladies, watch this one!

Not as good as Magic Mike

Der erste Film hat einen herrlichen Einblick gegeben in die Welt der Stripper! Und der zweite Film ist ein richtig guter 'bro movie' geworden! Als ehemaliger Stripper sehe ich diese Filme mit anderen Augen... Aber sie transportieren die message worum es geht beim strippen, nämlich die Frau aufs Podest zu stellen,sie zu ehren und ihr eine gute Zeit bescheren!!!Magic Mike war für mich wie eine Zeitreise! Und ja,..."wir sind Entertainer" !! Amüsant,witzig und tolle dance moves! Ladies ...klar,ihr werdet den Film lieben! Männer, ..seht wie es geht & entertaint eure Frauen!!

Ich hatte ihn im TV gesehen normalerweise ist sowas garnix für mich aber da nix kam blieb ich bei dem Film hängen und war begeistert. Nun hab ich die DVD natürlich sofort kaufen müssen und jedes mal wenn ich ihn schaue klappt mir regelrecht der Unterbietet herunter :D Geiler Film geile Tanzszenen Magic Mike extrem gut gespielt gerade das tänzerische können verdient allen Respekt. Sicherlich alles andere als leicht zu erlernen gewesen davor ziehe ich meinen Hut. Die Musik ist geil und zum Schluss der Tanz der beiden Männer ist für mich die geilste Stelle im ganzen Film

Naja, wenn man dass gleich Niveau erwartet wie beim ersten Film, kann man nur enttäuscht werden. Die Geschichte hat mich nicht mitgenommen, die Tänze waren schlecht, genauso wie die Musik. Nur Channing Tatum war (optisch) schön anzuschauen, aber dass wars auch.Den ersten Film habe ich bestimmt 3 oder 4 mal angeschaut, aber dieser hier werde ich bestimmt nicht ein zweites Mal anschauen.Dieser Film kann dem ersten Teil nicht das Wasser reichen.Keine Kaufempfehlung

Wie in Teil eins ist die Handlung nicht unbedingt ausgefallen, anspruchsvoll oder vielseitig. Jedoch ist zumindest eine Steigerung zum ersten Teil zu erkennen. Die Charaktere wirken nicht mehr ganz so seicht und sorgen zumindest für einige Lacher. Zu der Optik der Darsteller brauch ich wohl auch nichts mehr zu sagen 😉 Für einen lustigen Mädelsabene mit ordentlich Prosecco auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!
