A well designed LED lighting system and very versatile app
The Sumaote Smart Recessed Lighting system is very easy to install. The wall panel is programmable and can be pre-programmed to control different groups of lights as you like. Install the Hao Deng app which is one of the best thought off app for controlling the lights. It is easy to add the hand remote and wall control panel to the app. The app also has other features including the ability to dim the lights to your liking, and a cool mic and music feature where you can make the lights 'dance' to music. The Wifi hub that comes with it will allow you to control using Alexa or Google. To top this all, the cutsomer service is excellent - very responsive to your questions and always ready to help if you run through trouble when installing. (Thanks to Monica for her help)

Great lights
I have 20 of these lights in my basement with the panel controller for 4 years. Still work awesome. Just got 14 more in another building with a panel controller, remote, and wifi bridge. All work great and all work with the BT app. Everyone who sees them, love it and love how the system is upgradeable and versatile. The app is the best with being able to put lights in a group, individually controlled, or create a bunch of lighting scenes just like stage theater lighting. Better to have BT vs. wifi especially in an area with no wifi available.

15 Watt BT Mesh, not bad for the price mostly
I picked up a set of 4 of the 15 Watt, BT Mesh versions, with anticipation of 4 more down the road. Installation was pretty straight-forward. They do have the screw-in base on a plug, with black and white wires. Note however, there is no ground at all. There's no ground wire, and with a fully plastic housing, there's just nowhere to ground anything to. It would've been nice if there was an additional pigtail with the plug for people hard-wiring in, but instead we have to cut the screw-in plug off the end. The springs could be a little stronger, but do seem to hold fine so far.Setup went surprisingly quick. Once powered up, the lights started flashing a slow color-changing pattern, and the app connected and picked up all four within about 30 seconds. Side note - both the app and the instructions have QR codes on the boxes to link to the download - there were no actual instructions in the box for the lights. The panel controller is a different story. It's simple for what it is, but the mounting option is rather limited. I was hoping it would be suited for a standard electrical box, but it's not. There's a black back plate that it snaps onto, that looks like it's meant to just screw into the wall or something, with just enough of a cutout for the protrusion to fit into the wall. It really does show that it's just supposed to shove into a hole and be double-sided taped or screwed in that way,. Since this is being powered by live wiring, really the only RIGHT way to do it, is to put a box in the wall, then cut out enough material to give you room to work, but not so far as to leave nothing to mount to. I can't imagine how much of a mess it would be to try to wire this into existing work. There are pictures here:https://www.amazon.com/Wall-Mounted-Controller-Touchscreen-Bluetooth-Downlight/dp/B07W5M61DK/?th=1That show the mounting on a wall, making it appear that a standard square box will work, but the mounting holes on the backing plate are nowhere near able to line up with existing holes for standard boxes that I've found. Luckily I'm doing this as new work and haven't put up finish yet, so I have time to think of a better solution.Operation-wise, they do just fine. I haven't yet integrated with Google yet, as I'm pre-installing them into a shed that doesn't have internet capability yet. The App gives basically the same suite of functions as most generic smart lights, with pre-existing color functions like strobes and pulsing with speed and brightness controls. Music, as another review mentioned, only works with local music on your device. However, it does have a 'mic' function which, in theory would give a similar effect with music playing in the background for it to pick up. That said, it's an OK party trick, but isn't designed to really give you a disco feeling - there's no rhyme or reason for the colors it chooses from your list, it's not as if it goes white on snare beats, other colors on bass, etc. It's just, pick a color and flash to it on whatever recognizable beat the next beat is. Fun for toying with, but that's about it.They do also give you the option to custom create your own scenes, as well as even take a picture with your phone of a color, which it will then try to match. The caveat here is, if you pick a color and it changes, well now your whole room is that color, which will also make it impossible to then pick a DIFFERENT color without going back to default white first.Speaking of white - the app gives you a color wheel with Cool and Warm White in the center. There's a separate CCT function that lets you then fine-tune the color temperature of white that you want, so if Cool is too white and Warm is too yellow/orange, you can tweak it with the CCT option. All in all, I'm happy with them. They do exactly what I expected them to, and for the price they should be fine. Sure they might not be as fully integrated as Hue or others, but those are a lot more expensive per bulb. They're plenty bright enough, color options seem pretty good and close enough to accurate (red is basically red, instead of being dull pink like I've seen some bulbs put out), and they do retain the last setting saved when you come back and turn them back on, even with a regular light switch. Slightly stronger springs, bare-wire pigtails, and a better mounting adapter plate for the Panel Controller would be welcome changes, but for the price, they work just fine.

Great lights, watch my video!
The media could not be loaded. Got these lights because it is compatible to Alexa. I was worried at first but this turned out to be great! I picked up another six of these bad boys to install throughout my house.Install easy: got a 3 out of 5 because I had to cut and the strip the wires to connect it to the power source. Then I had to remove the previous light fixture cans before I could fully install Smart Recessed LED Lights.Apart from that, I truly enjoy these lights! I made a 1 minute and couple seconds video of the basic Alexa commands for the lights.Overall, I give these 5 out of 5 stars.

Very user friendly and easy to install
I bought these for my husband's man cave. The lighting is a little off because it's just a basement, but this was an easy fix. For an existing light fixture, all you need to do is screw it in like a regular light bulb. My husband ended up putting them in places that didn't already have fixtures, but it was simple enough that he did it on his own and didn't need to call an electrician. I love that we can change the color depending upon the mood and also brighten or dim it as needed. The app is very user friendly which is a relief for someone like me who isn't very tech savvy. You can change the color or brightness and even set routines in the app.

Brightness and color differs From set to set
Decent value but the colors and plugs were different between the two sets of 10 I ordered . The color difference is slight but noticeable enough to bug me . Easy to install, and they are decently bright for 5w. The music mode also isn’t all that great but work well enough to flash the lights around if you don’t want uniformity in how they flash and the colors they change to
