Beauty and The Beast (Live Action) [DVD] [2017]

I have found this to be the most enjoyable of the live-action adaptations of Disney animated movies. The visuals are well done, the music is well-performed, and the new song "Evermore" is particularly evocative. The audio and visual quality of the material on the discs is top notch, as you'd expect.

Very happy with purchase, recommend also.

Blu-ray looks and sounds fantastic, love the movie

Her autotune is noticed almost as soon as the film starts and everyone I've watched with looks over at me with the same feared look. The look is temporary, however, because by the end of Provincial Life you're so completely enamoured by how beautifully the classic has been recaptured even the slightest fans will have nerd tears. The rest of the movie, for better and worse, follows much in the same vain. 3D wise this doesn't have the IMAX aspect ratio it's theatrical release did, which definitely dampens the 3D WOW-factor that many of the scenes were obviously meant to have. It was very obviously planned for 3D though as the cinematography leans very heavily into the mediums strengths. Solid B+ and definite recommendation for any princess or Disney fan.

It's 2023 and my country (Japan) still doesn't have nor planning on releasing this on 4K.I love this movie to death and couldn't wait anymore so I purchased it.After seeing this movie for more than 50 times on streaming and on Blu-ray,the 4K is seriously beautiful and so happy to have this copy. Strongly recommend to all the B&B fansacross the world.Finally, WHEN and IF Disney Japan decides to release this product while I'm still alive,I will still buy the Japan version.

This live action retelling of Disney's animated classic is breathtakingly beautiful masterpiece. The performances are all exceptional, musical numbers are superbly executed, and special effects are jaw dropping. Those who are familiar with this tale as old as time will enjoy its reverence to a classic and fall in love with what this rendition has to offer. This film maintains the essence of the classic, while in some ways improving on the narrative. In many respects this film provides better backstory and character development than its animated predecessor.If you're looking at this particular version of the film you are likely interested in the 3D disc which was not released stateside. Fortunately this UK version is region free, so you can enjoy this beautiful 3D version in North America. The 3D effects are just as mesmerizing at home as they were in theaters.If you're a Disney collector, Beauty and the Beast fan, and/or a 3D blu ray enthusiast, this film is a must own.

I had not ever seen any version of the story, including the animated ones. I was aware that it has been loved to death in most any version by most people over the years, so I was tempted by the 3D bluray to give it a try. Wow! Was I surprised. What a grand production and spectacle in a musical with great choreography, camera work, and of course sets and CGI. Both wife and I loved it and we are retired. This is not just a kids movie. The 3D was not overdone but certainly added so much. I highly recommend it, if you have the gear for it. But in any format, don't miss it!

I have seen a lot of versions of Beauty & The Beast over the years and in some ways it is not as Surrealistic as Jean Cocteau's version of Beauty And the Beast, it is still a magical and engaging film. The film is well written, well directed and well acted and totally captures the fantasy feeling of the story, especially the 3-D Blu-Ray version where you are transported to a different time and place which makes you feel like you are really there.Although the characters are a little cartoonish I can forgive that as after all it is a Disney film. Beauty And The Beast is a film that can be thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family, both young and old.
