Nice Bright Red
Gorgeous color - but it fades!

The best hair color that lasts for months.
Get your redhead on! This luxurious creme mixes up so beautifully creating a long lasting color for dark hair. HiColor reds sell out quickly and the price is amazing! Just remember to cover up before you color as red stains don't come out.

Beautiful Color Payoff on Locs (Second Pic is a Refresh!)
I used L’Oréal HiColor Copper Red on my locs and the color payoff is BEAUTIFUL. My hair was previously colored and had faded to a warm brown, and this gave me a rich, vibrant copper-red without bleaching. In natural light it really pops, but it still looks deep and dimensional indoors. It processed evenly and didn’t leave patchy spots, which I was nervous about with locs. Definitely use gloves and deep condition afterward because it can be a little drying. If your hair is very dark and virgin, don’t expect a super bright red without lifting first. But on previously colored or lighter hair, this shade is stunning. I would absolutely repurchase.

Not Copper, Deep Red
Like many other reviews, I did not end up with a copper tone, but instead very deep red-brown. I had an ash blonde shade (bleached months before from dark brown), so there was no shade conflict, nor was the hair damaged. I used this shade way back when it was a commercial box color with perfect results, not sure what happened now, as I am familiar with stylist mixing too, and have done many times before with other shades. Everything done to precision, right time, etc. For the first time ever, my hair got very sticky and it did not rinse well, it over saturated badly. I had to remove this color all together. Shame.

This hair color does work on dark hair
This color is definitely intended for dark hair. I use his hair color to lift my hair from jet black to exactly the color that is on the box. It definitely works if you want it to work or your color to be a little more brighter. Choose between 20 30 or 40 developer. WARNING: if your hair is already colored, it will not work. If you already have previous color done to your hair and you dyed it jet black it only works on natural jet black hair so like if you did a big chop and your hair grew back it’s natural color, dark, brown or black. It works then it doesn’t work on top of box dye, so do not expect the results to show

Best traditional hair color for natural-looking copper-red hair
I have been coloring my own hair for many years, and this is by far the best product I've found to achieve that stop-in-your-tracks-and-stare shade of COPPER that glows like fire in the sunlight. It is possible to use it for less coarse hair types -- my own hair is fine/straight and medium neutral hue. Just get advice from a hair care professional before you use it if you don't know exactly what you're doing. I am not a hair care professional; just a diy girl with a love of bright fiery orange hair. This product works well and the color lasts three weeks before fading to a soft coppery auburn.

50\50 Not sure I did it right or if the product just isn't amazing
Okay this didn't give me what I wanted but it was interesting nontheless. So I died my hair black a month ago. First thing I did was use Provana Color Extractor to remove the black dye and it worked really well. It's expensive but gentle though it makes your hair smell of eggs. Almost all color extractors do, but they're better than bleach. Then I used 40 Vol Dev with 2 boxes of this color because my hair is long (mid-back) and pretty thick. I used the 40 Vol for 15 minutes because I did not want to hurt my hair. At this point it looked pretty black to me and I thought I'd failed. In an attempt to make sure my hair was cared for I used my moms Wen Conditioner and let it deep condition for a bit. Used some Argan Oil as well. These two seem to have removed the egg smell and my hair still feels soft and looks good. Then today when I was hanging out with a friend she was like "Whoa you're hair looks red in the light" and so we took a picture. It appears that on the top my hair has retained it's natural dark brown color and the undertone is indeed copper. I'm going to do some research to see if it will get lighter if I use another dye but I'm not too upset with this.
