A great cup of coffee
Recently I reviewed some pods of a different brand and had to rate them quite low. That was down to the pods being slightly too large and not fitting my machine. Basically, all I can do with the other pods is open them all up and empty the contents into a container to use for my espressos. As my 2nd image shows, the red pods are this brand and the green is the opther. There is a slight difference in size but that difference decides if the pods really are compatable or not. These pods fitted comfortably in the holder and as the 3rd and 4th images show they were perfectly perforated thus these really are Nesspresso compatable, unlike the others (the green pod).Flavour wise these pods deliver a rich and earthy flavour, just as coffee should taste. Thye are not weak as some others have claimed as for my mug of coffee I used two pods. Regardless of machine manufacturers and pod manufacturers instructions some people believe one pod can give an unlimited amount of strong coffee and are dissapointed when one pod isn't enough to fill a one pint mug. The rules for pods is simple, they are the same as making espressos from fresh ground coffee. A one shot holder delivers one small shot of espresso and a two shot holder gives enough for two shots. Pods only deliver one shot and if some of those that complained about the strength had actually stopped the flow from the machine before clear water started to show then it wouldn't be so weak for them. Using pods is exactly the same as using fresh ground coffee, the machine pours a dark coffeee at the very start and the liquid gets lighter as the coffee loses it's strength. So, basically one needs to watch the coffee flow and when the coffee flow becomes a light tan colour it's time to stop.I got a mug of strong coffee from two pods, I could have made it three pods for a great, dark and strong coffee but two was enough for that mug.The coffee in these pods is relatively fresh as the flavour indicates. A good coffee should have the taste of the earth the plant grew in, a soily, earthy flavour that has a slight aftertaste that soon dissolves. Any coffee that tastes of citris fruits etc. such as coffee shop coffees are an indicator that there are additives to the coffee, to hide the bitter taste of cheap coffee beans. Some coffee shops brands have the coffee roasted abroad, Holland being one of the nations, sprayed with citric acid and then ground before shipping to the UK. So, consumer choice is widely variable, one can buy coffee shop coffees that generate over 2,000% profit for the coffee shop chain or one can invest in a machine that can produce a far superior coffee for less than 50p including electricity. A good £10 to £15 flask can keep coffee warm for most of the day so one can easily have more coffee available for much less cost. Over a whole year these pods, alongside a good machine can save absolutely £100s over the cost of a coffee shop prices.I am highly recommending these pods as they truly are fully compatable, the price of 100 pods is dirt cheap and yet they produce a good tasting earthy coffee which deserves the 5* rating I hav egiven due to the quality, the quantity and the very good value they represent.

Great for everyday
These pods are a great everyday item. I originally bought the Nespresso pods, but they're expensive when bought in large volumes. These however are very cost-effective. The pods work well in the machine and I've had no issues with them jamming or leaking. The crema is there, though not as thick or velvety as the original pods, and the coffee is pretty good - it's not as robust or as full-bodied in depth, but again, for the price point they're great for an everyday replacement as although they're 1/5th the price, they're not 1/5th the quality - they're much better than that and miles ahead of anything "instant".

Firm favourite.
I have ordered these many times from Amazon. The price for 100 beats anywhere else. Even Lidl that offer 20 pods for £2.89 can’t compete with this brand that are very good flavour every time.I must have bought at least 1,000 from Amazon by now! I tend to buy them 100 at a time.I did buy the Lungo Intenso once by mistake, they were OK but not as nice. These are consistently good, they work well in my L’or Barrista Sublime machine (I would say that only 1 in 100 are defective) there’s always one!!!Great value and a very good taste. These are more on the medium band than strong but I like them.Every now and then I buy a strong brand for breakfast but these are my ‘go to’ pods.Very happy customer.

Flavoursome Coffee at a great price.
I should first point out that I am using these coffee pods on a second-generation Magi Nespresso machine with the manual clamp, so if you have a newer machine with an automatic clamp your experience may well be different.First, the flavour is nice and strong and not bitter, so the coffee is of decent quality though perhaps not to Nespresso standard obviously this is a personal preference but is reasonably comparable to the ristretto and Arpeggio ones I often buy from Nespresso. Bear in mind that these are less than half the price. I have also tried other flavours they make but these are the best in my opinion. The price of these makes them extremely great value and I now drink these day to day and now only have the original Nespresso Capsules on weekends. These are plastic pods and as such take more pressure to clamp down but I have tried them on 4 different machines and have not found them to have any significant leakage. Being plastic with the coffee inside they are sadly not recyclable so are not as environmentally friendly as the original pods which Nespresso collect and recycles.

not premium but ok
These are good value as you get alot for your money and as an everyday coffee they are good. Especially if you are adding milk. When drunk on their own they are not as tasty as some of the premium capsules, but as my normal everyday drink they fit the bill

Ese of use varies by machine
As an avid coffee drinker I tend to like a quite strong coffee but with a little hot milk. Since it's my first few drinks of the day, I also like a large volume too. So far, I've found my favourite flavour and volume to be given with 2 x 25ml ristretto intenso capsules and 1 x 110ml lingo capsule with 100ml of hot milk added. Not to everyone's taste, but done like this these pods are excellent in both taste and economy.I tried using these pods in an orginal Nespresso machine and like several reviewers found that they didn't always brew correctly. I bought a L'Or nespresso machine, sadly now unavailable, as it was recommended for a variety of pods. They were right. I guess about 2 failures in a thousand which is good odds to me.Only issue is putting one pod in immediately after another as the hot plastic container sticks into the holder as it expands and has to be flipped out with a fingernail. Obviously more likely with a longer lungo as the extra volume increases the temperature of the pod, but now used to checking every time so don't even think about it now.Overall a very good product for my taste and pocket.
