Very pleased with this book. I was worried the original book was too intense for my 9 years old who is quite sensitive. This was perfect. She loved it and read it straight through plus keeps picking it up when she misses the story.

I bought it for my 7 year old great grandson's birthday. He loved it ànd has read it three times already. Nice to introduce him to the classics at an early age.

Great edition for a 7 years old.

It easy to read

True to the original story, this simplified version is well illustrated and attractive suitable for reading aloud to and sharing with younger children who are interested in life in Victorian times. With not too many words to a page, it will appeal to children who are improving their reading ability and are seeking interesting and independent reading material.
