There are as many different slings out there for sale as there are rifles and shotguns to hang off them. I have used dozens over the years and they all have their place. Some are leather and look beautiful and traditional, complimenting the long arm. Others contain elastic and padding to help offset big heavy rifles that double as boat anchors. But for me, the Quake Claw is the most practical and comfortable hunting shotgun / rifle sling available. It WILL NOT SLIP off your shoulder and is broad and comfortable. I find it perfect for waterfowling when you're wearing a lot of layers because its cold and wet. You can sling your shotgun on your shoulder and grab all your other gear entirely secure that the shotgun is not going anywhere without you.Love the brown color too. Camo's great and all, but...brown'll git er done.

What else is there to say ? I bought my first 'Claw' years and years ago. I have since replaced every sling I have (or had) with an Original Quake Claw sling. They are quiet and weather has no effect (some wet leather slings outright stink). Most of my shooting friends (yep , even the females), are using the original Quake Claw on their long guns (shotguns included)..I have never used a Quake 'imitation ' so I can't speak on those, the few dollars difference isn't worth the time..My first Quake was 9.50 (?) ,now at 24.00 , still the best sling going..

This was the exact gear change I needed. I had a very expensive sling that was nylon and when my wife was hunting she couldn't keep that sling on her shoulder. I didn't struggle as much but for 30miles she was so I made a quick gear change and had this by the next day. I didn't realize how bad my sling was but this one is staying on my rifle. It was so much more comfortable and worry free to carry my rifle with. It does not slide off of your shoulder. Where ever it is set it will stick like ugly on a democrat. If you want a comfortable sling that won't slide around on your shoulder this is the one for you. My only change I would make is using all hardware (instead of only the sling swivels) so you don't have to rely on plastic.

I bought this for my hunting rifle. I will often times walk 5-12 miles per day while out hunting and the claw slings stay put better and are more comfortable than any other sling I have used. I would say that I prefer the slightly narrower version of the sling wit the one wider bulge part vs the wider more trapezoidy version.

I used one of these slings on an Elk hunt for 6 days. It was comfortable and had good grip. I decided to buy two more for my shotgun and my girlfriend's.

No slip real nice sling! I have this brand on all most of all my rifles.

You really can't beat these slings. They aren't exactly a classic look, but they carry exceptionally well and hold up to regular use in all types of climates.
