Elama Mandala Round Stoneware Multicolor Dinnerware Set, 16 Piece, Orange

I love stoneware dinnerware . . . so I saw this great deal and gambled. These dishes are most likely earthenware. Stoneware is famous for being durable and chip resistant, and expensive, as the process of making it is intensive. I used three pieces of this set, hand washed them and got a chip on the rim of the mug. First use, one mug down (I don't want to put lips on a ragged chip.) I knew it was too good to be true . . . I honestly believed if it said "stoneware" it would be stoneware. No stoneware chips first use being hand-washed, unless someone is putting the plates in the soapy water from 20 feet away.Also the pattern is strange. Some of it is swirled glaze, yet some of it appears "printed." I say printed because in some of the design, color "dots" (think color newspaper comics,) are visible. Maybe they took the design from a poor resolution print, and that is what was copied? Quite strange looking once you notice it.I am not a "fancy" dish person. My fav bowls I got years ago from Family Dollar, and I let my dogs lick them clean. I wasn't expecting $140 a place setting quality. Maybe to not have a chip after the first hand-wash would have been nice. But they are cheap, and I guess you get what you pay for. Caveat Emptor.

This product chips easily. Not as durable as you’d think . I would not buy anything from this company again as far as stone wear is concerned

Love these plates! They are light, yet seem really sturdy. My last set were kind of heavy, but fragile. So this is a very nice upgrade. The colors are vibrant. And they do not get overly hot in the microwave, which is something I also had to deal with with my last set of dishes. I am very happy with my purchase.

These are durable and pretty however, the pic shows the color to have more brown then it does. Instead there’s more blue than noticed innpuc also. Not too happy about the skewed color . This was the second time I ordered as was sent completely different color set first time and it was not easy getting them back into sleeves and carrying them to store for return.

These are to replace everyday dishes. I enjoy the bright and colorful designs. I lightly sanded the bottoms of all pieces to remove any ceramic rough places that tend to scratch pieces when they are stacked on top of each other. Dishes arrived well packaged and did not have any broken pieces. The same dishes were available on Bed, Bath and Beyond for a 30% more in price even with coupon.

These are beautiful dishes! The color and design are wonderful! The dinner plates are a good size and are flared up on the sides which is really nice. I also like the two different designs for the lunch and dinner plates. The bowls are a perfect size and shape for salad or soup, and the mugs are nice and big for morning tea or coffee. They are fairly lightweight and microwave well. I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but they look pretty chip resistant. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase!

I just received the dishes. They were packed well with no chips or broken pieces. The colors are beautiful although were a few minor flaws in the surface of one bowl and plate. They were slightly heavier than I anticipated, but hopefully that means better durability. The claim to be dishwasher and microwave safe. I will follow up on that. Initially, very pleased with the product

The colour is not the same as in the description or the picture. The “green” is actually yellow, and the “red” is actually orange. A disappointing purchase.
