I've had the same Time ATAC pedals on my GT XCR2000 for over ten years without a single glitch or complaint. I put these on my new Motobecane Boris X9 LTD Fat bike less than two months ago. Being a hard tail bike, the Boris has less ground clearance than my full suspension GT, so I've experienced more pedal strikes on the Boris in the short time I've had it than on the GT in the 10+ years on it, and have experienced no problem with these pedals. They're tough! I put a lot of miles on my mountain bike, 1500 or so on these pedals. They started ticking somewhere around a year old. I thought it was my bottom bracket at first, but no, it was the pedals.They are fine, and I like them because if I have regular shoes I can use them. But the noise is annoying.I guess for the price they were ok. I went to a more expensive pair after these.
