Ainsley Harriott's Low Fat Meals In Minutes

Another winner
Healthy eating is the big thing at the moment, and it is easy to get swept up in crash diets and greens-only food with the cornucopia of health food books that are floating around at the moment. Though Ainsley is a tremendous chef with a lot of energy and this reflects in his writing, and he has come up with a broad spectrum of low-fat foods to suit almost any taste-bud.I have found Ainsley to be a fantastic writer, he always writes in a very simplistic yet enthusiastic way, a short comment/introduction to the meal and then the ingredients and finally a very simplistic step-by-step set of instructions. The sections are divided into food types: chicken, red meat, fish, and next to each recipe there is a picture of what it should look like (this is something that I always appreciate, pictures always help). As is customary to Ainsley he has provided a broad spectrum of recipes, meaning that this book can very easily become something one can use every day. With a growing importance on cooking healthily, as well as managing a busy schedule, this book comes at the top of my list. If you want to cook low fat meals, and have a great variety in what you cook, and yet not be slaving over the oven for hours - this is the best!

Tasty ideas that are easy and quick to make
I originally bought this when the hardback edition was still in print and enjoy flicking through it to get ideas for simple, yet tasty meals to make up in the evenings.A lot of effort is made to select recipes that are quick to put together, don't take forever to cook and as the title says are lower in fat.The chow mein and mushroom stir fry recipes are excellent. They might not be as authentic as say from a Ken Hom book, but they taste very good and always go down well with people.I also like the minced lamb kebab recipe, along with the lime, garlic and chilli yoghurt dip - perfect for summer BBQ's.A good addition to any collection, especially if you're trying to watch your diet and not wanting to sacrifice on choice or flavour.

It's a really good cookbook
I purchased this about a year ago and I have no hesitation in recommending it (I think it deserves the 5 star). I like the simple approach, it impressed me because the maximum number of instructions is 4 steps but most menuss are 2/3 steps no more which is good. AH kept his menus simple, easy to follow with interesting twists on well known dishes. If like me, you like to rustle up something tasty quickly [especially after a long day at work] then you should definitely buy this cookbook

Tasteful Ainsely
First time in my life that I read a book with recipes from cover to cover and not when I was looking for something to cook. Ainsley's Low Fat Meals in minutes is full of easy, fast and tasteful recipes. No surprise, as I was not expecting nothing less from Ainsley. I plan on purchasing his entire collection of books. Ainsley I love your taste in the kitchen!

Fantastic easy dishes
My favourite cook book by far. The recipes are all really easy to make, and the results are more often than not brilliant. Normally most cook books only have a handful of recipes you're happy with, this one almost all turn out great. Each recipe has an associated photo too, so you know what you're making before you start.
